XYZ Racing Racing Spec Coilovers — Ferrari F8 (without hydraulic lift system) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2020-2026

The F8 Tributo’s twin-turbo flat-plane V8 puts 710bhp through the rear axle of a car that, in factory form, leans on Ferrari’s magnetorheological damping and Side Slip Control to keep the chassis honest. Strip that electronic crutch away and the FE11-C platform is suddenly a very different proposition – one that demands a damper built for the loads a 340km/h mid-engined Berlinetta actually generates on a circuit.

The XYZ Racing Racing Spec coilover is engineered for exactly that scenario. It replaces the F8’s adaptive struts wholesale, and the supplied cancellation kit closes the loop with the ECU so the dash stays clean once the SCM-E units are gone. This is a setup for owners running Fiorano, Spa or the Nordschleife on slicks – not for boulevard cruising.

What this coilover does for your 2020-2026 Ferrari F8

Pull the magnetic units off an F8 and the first thing you feel is honesty. The Racing Spec damper gives you a fixed, race-derived curve rather than a software-mediated one, which means inputs at the wheel and throttle translate directly into chassis response. Trail-braking into Fiorano’s Turn 6 stops being a conversation with the ECU and becomes a conversation with the front axle. Mid-corner platform on a heavily-loaded mid-engined car is the headline gain – the F8’s rearward weight bias settles instead of pitching, and the front contact patch stays loaded long enough to let you commit to power earlier. The cancellation kit is the bit that makes the whole thing liveable: no fault lights, no limp mode, no warning chimes echoing in the cabin as you cross the start-finish line.

About the Racing Spec coilover

The Racing Spec is XYZ’s circuit-only tier, with damping curves developed directly from race programmes including WTCC touring car competition. It is not a re-valved fast-road damper – it is built from the ground up for sustained track abuse, where heat soak, repeat threshold braking and high-load compression cycles destroy lesser units within a season. Spring rates and valving on this tier sit substantially above the road-going XYZ ranges, and the company offers fully bespoke shock builds for owners running aggressive aero, slicks or A-class race tune. Supply your car’s modification list and the circuits you intend to run, and XYZ will valve the units specifically against that brief. For the F8 (without hydraulic lift system) the kit also addresses one of the more awkward problems of converting a modern Ferrari to manual damping – the electronic cancellation module that keeps the SCM-E warning out of the dash cluster.

Fitment for the Ferrari F8 (2020-2026)

This kit fits the FE11-C chassis F8 Tributo and F8 Spider built between 2020 and 2026, specifically the variant without the front-axle hydraulic lift system. The cancellation harness is included to suppress the electronic damping fault once the original SCM-E units are removed. If your car is fitted with nose-lift, that is a different part number – confirm before ordering.
