XYZ Racing Top Sport Coilovers — Ferrari F8 (with hydraulic lift, excl.control system) 2020-2026

The F8 Tributo’s mid-mounted 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 makes 710bhp and routes every bit of it through a chassis tuned at Maranello for the road first, the circuit second. That balance is deliberate, but it leaves a window – particularly on UK B-roads transitioning to circuit work at Donington or Bedford – where a stiffer, more communicative damper unlocks what the aero and the Michelin Sport Cup 2s are already asking for.

This Top Sport kit is the XYZ Racing setup for owners who treat the F8 as an occasional track-day weapon rather than a Sunday garage queen. It retains the factory hydraulic front-axle lift, which matters: lose that on an F8 and every speed bump between your house and the Tunnel becomes a paint-correction job.

What this coilover does for your 2020-2026 Ferrari F8

Damping force climbs 30 to 50 percent over the standard street tune, with spring rates lifted by around 2kg/mm. The practical result on a mid-engined Ferrari is more disciplined body control through fast direction changes – the kind of weight transfer you feel through Druids or the Esses at Snetterton – without the high-frequency harshness that ruins the F8 as a road car. Tyre contact stays planted across broken tarmac and over kerbing, which is the difference between a confident apex and a corrected one.

You get sharper turn-in, less front-end float under trail-braking into slow corners, and a rear axle that stays composed when the V8’s torque arrives mid-corner. Daily driveability survives because the front-end lift system is preserved – kerbs, ramps and underground car parks remain navigable.

About the Top Sport coilover

Top Sport is XYZ Racing’s racing-derived setting adapted for cars that still see road miles. Damping is uprated 30 to 50 percent above the street baseline, paired with a 2kg/mm spring rate increase, to absorb impacts from uneven UK pavement while suppressing body shock over bigger compressions. The brief is straightforward: increase tyre traction by keeping the contact patch loaded through bumps, then use that traction for genuine cornering composure.

The damping and spring tune comes directly from XYZ Racing’s Top Sport racing programme, transposed onto a kit suitable for aggressive road driving and circuit weekends. Construction follows the same monotube architecture XYZ deploys across the range. For an F8 owner running occasional track days, the calibration sits in the right window – meaningfully firmer than OE, well short of a slick-tyre race spec.

Fitment for the Ferrari F8 (2020-2026)

This kit is specified for the FE10-chassis Ferrari F8 Tributo and F8 Spider produced from 2020 to 2026, fitted with the factory hydraulic front-axle lift. The control system is supplied separately – this listing covers the strut hardware only, retaining compatibility with the F8’s existing nose-lift function.
