XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — Dodge STEALTH 4WD 1992-1999

The Stealth 4WD carries a genuinely unusual spec sheet for a 1990s Dodge: full-time viscous-coupling four-wheel drive bolted to a twin-turbo 3.0-litre V6, sharing its bones with the Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4. That drivetrain adds real weight over the nose and demands a suspension that can absorb sudden vertical loads without the front end diving into every compression. XYZ Racing’s Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover is built around that exact problem.

Where a standard road coilover chases a fixed ride height and a single spring rate, this kit is built for surfaces that change under the tyre from one corner to the next – loose gravel, packed snow, a rutted stage road. Extended front and rear travel gives the AWD system somewhere to put its weight transfer instead of bottoming the strut.

What this coilover does for your 1992-1999 Dodge Stealth 4WD

Fit this kit and the biggest change you’ll feel is composure over broken surfaces: the extra shock travel front and rear soaks up mid-corner ruts and compressions that would otherwise send the Stealth’s nose-heavy AWD platform pitching. A larger internal reservoir of suspension oil and nitrogen gas keeps damping force consistent even after sustained hard driving, because there’s simply more fluid volume to spread the heat load across before it thins out and the damper starts to fade. The 3-way adjustment lets you soften the front to keep the twin-turbo V6’s mass planted on loose surfaces, then firm up the rear to control the viscous-coupling system’s tendency to squat under boost. For a car this heavy over the front axle, that front-to-rear balance is the difference between a Stealth that tracks straight on gravel and one that pushes wide every time the surface breaks up.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

This design started life for rally and rallycross use, and the engineering priorities show it. Both front and rear dampers get extended travel over a standard road or circuit coilover, giving the suspension a much bigger buffer before it runs out of stroke on a jump landing or a deep rut. Internally, XYZ Racing increased the volume of suspension oil and nitrogen gas the damper carries, which slows the rate at which oil temperature climbs during long, hard stints – the failure mode that kills cheaper dampers is oil that gets too hot and loses its damping characteristics. The 3-way adjustment knobs use a small-oil-hole metering design; on big compressions you may hear a faint noise as oil passes through that restriction, which is a normal characteristic of this valving rather than a fault. The same long-travel, high-capacity construction that suits gravel and snow stages also holds up to sustained circuit driving, so the kit doesn’t lose composure whether the surface underneath is tarmac or loose.

Fitment for the Dodge STEALTH 4WD (1992-1999)

Built specifically for the Dodge Stealth 4WD, chassis code DO05, covering the full 1992 to 1999 production run. This is the AWD platform only – confirm your car is the twin-turbo, viscous-coupling 4WD variant before ordering, as front and rear geometry differs from the front-wheel-drive Stealth.

Spec your front and rear damping to match your surface and configure yours below.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.

Top mounts included with your kit

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.

Front

  • Pillow ball + rubber top mountPillow ball + rubberP+Pillow-ball upper with a rubber insert — adds steering precision and camber adjustability while keeping some of the factory mount’s harshness damping.
  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
