XYZ Racing Tarmac Rally Coilovers — Lamborghini AVENTADOR LP700/720/740/750/770 SVJ 4WD (with hydraulic lift, excl. control system) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2011-2026

The Aventador is a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 sitting behind the driver, pushrod-actuated magnetorheological dampers from the factory, and a 4WD layout that puts a heavy nose on a car that was never designed to live on a broken-surface stage. The XYZ Racing Tarmac Rally coilover replaces that electronically controlled OEM setup with a purely mechanical, rebuildable damper tuned for sealed-stage tarmac work – surfaces where the LP700 chassis has to deal with mid-corner camber breaks, kerbs and patchwork repairs at speed.

This kit ships with the electronic damping cancellation harness, so the dash doesn’t throw a fault when the OEM magneto dampers come out. The hydraulic nose-lift system stays on the car. What you lose is the factory’s compromise calibration; what you gain is a damper actually engineered for the loadings a Lamborghini sees on a tarmac stage.

What this coilover does for your 2011-2026 Lamborghini Aventador LP700/720/740/750/770 SVJ 4WD

Rebound and bump control built around impact absorption rather than autobahn cruise tuning. The Aventador’s mass over the rear axle, combined with the V12’s pitching moment under throttle, asks a lot of a rear damper on a rough surface; XYZ’s Tarmac Rally valving is specifically built to soak up single-hit inputs – kerbs, ridges, surface changes – without unloading the contact patch on the way back down. You feel it as a car that stays planted through compressions where the OEM electronic dampers would either ride harshly or get overwhelmed and pogo. Rear traction off slow corners improves measurably because the tyre stops being airborne over road imperfections. The hydraulic lift remains usable for driveway clearance, which on a sub-100mm-ground-clearance car is not a luxury.

About the Tarmac Rally coilover

Engineered from XYZ Racing’s own Tarmac Rally programme, this damper is built to absorb the impact of uneven pavement and resist the jolt of larger bumps without losing body control. The valving suppresses shock-body movement and works to increase tyre traction on broken surfaces, which is the entire point of a tarmac-stage spec: keep the contact patch loaded when the road won’t. Every setting in the kit – spring rate selection, damper curve, bump and rebound balance – comes out of XYZ’s competition data on sealed stages. The result is a coilover that gives the Aventador a level of mechanical compliance the magnetorheological factory setup cannot match once it’s pushed beyond GT-road duty. The included cancellation harness keeps the car’s electronics happy with the magneto dampers physically removed.
