XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — Toyota EXSIRO 1993-1997

Toyota’s EXSIRO compact platform from the early 1990s found a natural home in Japan’s domestic rally and rallycross scene – a compact, manageable chassis that rewards a driver willing to throw it sideways on gravel or commit to a snow-covered hairpin. The XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover is built for exactly that application: extended travel at both ends, high-capacity internals, and a three-knob adjustment range that covers the demands of loose-surface competition on a platform this age.

Running a 1993-1997 EXSIRO hard on gravel or snow stages asks a great deal from the dampers. Sustained compression cycles over rough surfaces generate heat inside the shock body, and a standard damper with limited oil and gas capacity will fade before a proper stage is done. These coilovers are designed with that problem front of mind.

What this coilover does for your 1993-1997 Toyota EXSIRO

Longer front and rear travel gives the EXSIRO chassis a substantially larger buffer against sudden surface changes – the kind of compression that tops out a shorter-travel setup over a gravel crest or through a rutted tightener. The enlarged oil and nitrogen gas reservoir maintains damping consistency as operating temperatures climb, preventing the performance drop-off that follows sustained use on a demanding stage. Three separate adjustment knobs let you tune damping characteristics to suit conditions: you can shift the balance between front and rear to account for a heavier fuel load at the start of a stage, or soften the response for deeply rutted gravel versus compacted snow. The small oil-passage design is deliberate – it delivers control over how quickly oil transfers under load, though this does produce a small noise when the suspension encounters large impacts. That is normal behaviour under rally conditions, not a sign of damage.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

The Pro Racing Gravel/Snow is designed from the ground up for rally racing and rallycross, not adapted from a road or circuit product. Longer travel at both the front and rear axles increases the distance between the suspension’s mid-travel position and full compression, which keeps the chassis stable on surfaces where the ground shifts unpredictably beneath the car. Inside the damper body, XYZ Racing have increased both the oil volume and the nitrogen gas charge relative to their road-oriented ranges – this directly addresses the heat-management problem of long-term, repeated use, keeping oil temperature from rising to the point where damping force becomes inconsistent. The three-knob adjustment system, built around a small oil-hole passage design, allows the driver to set rebound and compression characteristics with real granularity rather than a single dial covering the entire range. While the product is optimised for gravel and snow stages, the construction is suitable for smooth-surface circuit work where bump concerns are minimal.

Fitment for the Toyota EXSIRO (1993-1997)

These coilovers are manufactured to fit the Toyota EXSIRO on XYZ Racing chassis reference TO35, covering the complete 1993 to 1997 model run. Confirm your chassis code against the TO35 designation before ordering.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.

Top mounts included with your kit
