XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Porsche 991 GT3 (without hydraulic lift system) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2013-2019

The rear-engine pendulum of the 991 GT3 is both its greatest asset and its central challenge in competitive drifting. Initiation comes from that rear-mounted flat-six swinging the tail wide under transition, but managing rotation at speed – without the factory PASM electronics smoothing the corrections – demands suspension built around those physics, not around road-car civility.

XYZ Racing’s Drift Spec coilover for the 991 GT3 is designed specifically for drift competition. This kit ships with a cancellation kit that bypasses Porsche’s Active Suspension Management entirely, cutting the OEM electronic damping loop and returning full mechanical control to the chassis. Lower the ride height to the correct bump stroke, and you’re working with the 991’s geometry rather than against it.

What this coilover does for your 2013-2019 Porsche 991 GT3

Dropping the 991 GT3’s ride height shifts the roll centre and changes how the rear rotates under lock. With PASM cancelled, there’s no electronic intervention dulling the lateral body movement that judges score in competition. The Drift Spec kit’s ride-height adjustment is designed to preserve meaningful bump stroke at competition height, so you’re not running out of travel mid-entry. Body stabilisation through sustained high-speed cornering at extreme angles – the specific engineering brief this suspension was developed around – directly addresses the snap-rotation tendency that defines the 911 platform in a drift context. Get the geometry right and the 991’s natural pendulum becomes a repeatable tool rather than a liability to manage.

About the Drift Spec coilover

The Drift Spec is XYZ Racing’s dedicated competition drift suspension, developed from scratch for high-speed, high-angle drift racing rather than adapted from a road or track-day kit. Its design focus is stabilising the vehicle body through sustained cornering at extreme yaw – the precise condition that separates a genuine drift build from a lowered car with an optimistic tyre choice. XYZ Racing’s development process specifically accounted for the relationship between ride height and available bump stroke, so going low doesn’t cost you the travel you need to hold an angle through a long corner. The electronic damping cancellation kit included in this fitment handles the PASM bypass that aftermarket dampers require on this chassis. The target outcome, per XYZ Racing’s own development brief: drift handling control brought to an excellent condition – not a softened approximation of it.

Fitment for the Porsche 991 GT3 (2013-2019)

Built for the Porsche 991 GT3 on chassis code PO17-C, covering model years 2013 to 2019 – the full span of the 991.1 and 991.2 GT3 generations. This fitment is specific to cars without Porsche’s front-axle hydraulic lift system; the included PASM cancellation kit addresses the electronic damping bypass required for non-OEM coilover installation on this chassis.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
