XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Ferrari PORTOFINO 2017-2026

The Portofino is not the obvious drift platform – that is exactly the point. With its front-mid V8, rear transaxle and 53/47 weight distribution, the F154 twin-turbo car has the layout drifters spend years engineering into lesser chassis. The XYZ Racing Drift Spec coilover exists to unlock that geometry without fighting the factory adaptive damping logic on every transition.

Where the stock Portofino M setup prioritises GT compliance and folding-roof refinement, the Drift Spec rewrites the brief around angle, lock and weight transfer. This is the coilover for owners running their Portofino at private circuit days, drift schools or closed-course events where the goal is sustained slip, not lap time.

What this coilover does for your 2017-2026 Ferrari Portofino

Drop the ride height with the Drift Spec’s adjustable lower mount and the front end stops washing wide on initiation – the Portofino’s long nose finally points where the wheel is pointing, not where momentum wants to take it. The geometry shift loads the outside front harder at turn-in, giving the rear something to break away from cleanly rather than the snatchy, traction-control-mediated step the OEM setup produces when pushed. Bump stroke is preserved through measured travel, which matters on a 1,700kg GT that lands hard out of every transition. Damping is set to keep the rear settled mid-slide so throttle modulation actually moves the car, instead of the dampers absorbing inputs you meant to feel.

About the Drift Spec coilover

Engineered specifically for competitive drifting, the Drift Spec is built around stability under high-speed turn-in and angle retention through the slide. The damping curves are weighted to control body rotation while the chassis is loaded at extreme yaw, holding the platform composed where a fast-road or circuit coilover would let it pitch and unsettle. Construction follows the XYZ Racing monotube architecture used across the range, with ride-height adjustment via lower mount so spring preload stays untouched when you go lower. The geometry change after fitting – lower centre of gravity, recalibrated bump stroke – is where the controllability lives; XYZ describes the result as bringing drift control to excellent condition, and on a chassis as composed as the Portofino, that translates into a car that feels deliberate at angle rather than reactive.

Fitment for the Ferrari Portofino (2017-2026)

Direct-fit for the Ferrari Portofino chassis code FE07, covering the 2017-2020 Portofino and the 2020-2026 Portofino M facelift. Confirm your specific build year and any factory-fit magnetorheological damper option at checkout, as adaptive-damper deletion may be required depending on year.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
