XYZ Racing Circuit Master Coilovers — Mitsubishi ECLIPSE 1995-2000

The 2G Eclipse’s FWD variants carry their engine weight over the front axle, and under boost the 4G63T makes that weight very obvious – late turn-in, push at the limit, and a front end that wants to go straight when you ask it to rotate. The Circuit Master coilovers are built for sustained circuit work, and on this chassis that means addressing the understeer balance before it eats your lap time.

For GSX owners running the AWD layout, the calculation is different but the demand is just as high. The AWD drivetrain distributes the 4G63T’s output far more effectively across both axles, but the factory suspension geometry was never developed past fast-road spec. Circuit use exposes those limits quickly, and the Circuit Master’s three-knob adjustment system means front and rear can be set up independently for a specific track’s profile.

What this coilover does for your 1995-2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse

The headline number is 9,720 possible adjustment combinations across three independent knobs – rebound, compression, and height can all be tuned without pulling against each other. That range covers everything from the GS-T’s understeer correction to the GSX’s corner-exit traction balance. Lower the car to reduce roll couple, then tune the damping around the spring rate you’ve chosen. Because the three knobs operate separately, changes are specific and repeatable – chassis notes from one session carry forward to the next without guesswork.

About the Circuit Master coilover

The Circuit Master sits at the top of XYZ Racing’s performance hierarchy alongside their Racing Spec, Drift Spec, and Tarmac Rally variants, and it is the one developed specifically for sustained circuit use. XYZ’s own racing teams have run this damper across circuits worldwide, which shaped both its engineering and its operating envelope. The core of that engineering is the three-knob system combined with a restricted oil passage: under circuit conditions, oil flow is regulated through a precisely sized orifice for consistent damping response across a session. One honest note on that design – over an unusually large single bump of the kind you won’t find on any prepared circuit, the restricted passage can produce a brief oil-rush noise. This is expected behaviour from the design, not a fault. The 9,720 adjustment positions cover everything from stiff qualifying trim to a controlled endurance setup, making the Circuit Master equally relevant to a trackday regular running a consistent programme on the 2G Eclipse as to a club-level competitor.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
