XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — Mazda MX-6 1992-1998

The Mazda MX-6’s front-driven GE chassis carries its mass over the nose, and on a loose surface that means the front axle does most of the work scrabbling for grip while the rear has to stay settled. The XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover is built for exactly that fight: a long-travel damper aimed at rally and rallycross use, where suspension stroke and heat tolerance matter far more than how low the car sits.

This is not a fast-road kit pretending to do double duty. The Pro Racing Gravel/Snow runs extended front and rear travel to give the MX-6 a bigger buffer over crests, ruts and snow-packed corners, holding the body in check when the surface drops away beneath the wheels.

What this coilover does for your 1992-1998 Mazda MX-6

The extra suspension stroke lets the MX-6’s nose-heavy front end track over broken ground instead of skating across it, so the driven wheels stay loaded and pulling. Larger oil and nitrogen gas volumes inside each damper keep shock temperature down over a long stage, which holds damping consistent where a smaller-bodied unit would fade. Three external adjustment knobs let you match the car to the surface in front of you – softer and longer for deep gravel or snow, firmer for hard-packed forest road. The upshot is a Mazda MX-6 that stays composed and predictable once the road stops being a road.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

XYZ Racing designed the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow primarily for rally racing and rallycross, and the engineering follows from that brief. Front and rear travel is longer than a circuit coilover’s, increasing the buffer distance the suspension has to absorb big hits before it runs out of stroke. Each damper carries a larger charge of suspension oil and nitrogen gas; that extra volume resists the heat build-up that would otherwise cook the fluid and sap damping after sustained hard use. The three adjustment knobs feed through a small-orifice oil passage, and over big impacts that passage can produce a faint noise as fluid moves through it – this is normal for the design, not a fault. It is a specialist loose-surface and circuit damper, not a comfort-first street part.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
