XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Hyundai GENESIS COUPE BK 3.8 2011-2014

The Genesis Coupe BK 3.8 came to drifting almost by accident: a front-engined, rear-drive coupe with the torquey 3.8 Lambda V6 up front and roughly 1.6 tonnes to manage, sold cheap enough that grassroots paddocks quickly filled with them. What it never had from the factory was the body control to hold a big angle – the standard dampers let the shell roll and wallow the moment you commit. The XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover for the Hyundai Genesis Coupe BK 3.8 is built specifically to fix that.

This is a competition drift setup, not a fast-road compromise. It settles the body through high-speed direction changes so the car sets its angle cleanly and stays there, then hands you the ride-height and damping control to keep that behaviour repeatable across a full session.

What this coilover does for your 2011-2014 Hyundai Genesis Coupe BK 3.8

Drop the ride height with the correct bump stroke and the BK stops leaning on its outside corner mid-transition – weight transfer becomes something you trigger deliberately rather than something the chassis does late and lazily. The three adjustment knobs let you separate ride height from damping, so you can set a low, planted stance and still tune how aggressively the car takes and holds angle. With the V6’s torque breaking the rears loose easily, the gain you feel most is predictability: initiation is sharper, the swap between locks is calmer, and the car holds its line through a long corner instead of washing into understeer. Front-end response tightens noticeably too, which matters on a nose-heavy coupe that otherwise pushes wide when you load it.

About the Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover

XYZ designed this kit around one job – keeping a drift car stable while it is sideways at speed so the driver can place and hold a clean angle. The damping and bump-stroke setup is tuned to stabilise the body through high-speed turns and sharpen drift control once the car is lowered correctly. Adjustment runs through three separate knobs, giving independent control over ride height and damping behaviour. One detail worth knowing: the dampers use a small oil-passage design, and over large bumps the oil forced through that narrow passage can produce a faint noise – that is normal to how the valving works, not a fault. This is a circuit-and-track product first; on the smoother surfaces it is built for, the bump behaviour is exactly where it earns its keep.

Fitment for the Hyundai Genesis Coupe BK 3.8 (2011-2014)

This kit is matched to the BK-chassis Genesis Coupe in 3.8 V6 form, covering the 2011 to 2014 model years. It suits the rear-wheel-drive coupe specifically – confirm your car is the BK 3.8 against the chassis code before configuring, so the spring and damper rates match the heavier-nosed V6 variant.

This suspension is especially designed for Drift racing purpose. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowering the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
