XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — Honda CRV II 2002-2006

The second-generation CR-V was built to be soft. Honda gave it long, compliant springs and a high centre of gravity to soak up rough lanes and motorway miles, which is exactly the trait that punishes the car the moment the surface turns loose. The XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover for the Honda CRV II (2002-2006) answers that brief directly: a long-travel, loose-surface kit that keeps the tall body controlled without hammering it solid over ruts and frozen ridges.

This is not a track-lowering kit dressed up for the road. It is a rally and rallycross-derived damper, with deliberately generous front and rear travel and the buffer distance to keep all four corners planted when the ground stops being flat. For a CR-V that sees gravel, forest track or snow, that is the spec that matters.

What this coilover does for your 2002-2006 Honda CRV II

On the car, the first thing you feel is composure. The extended travel lets the wheels follow a rutted gravel stage instead of skipping across the top of it, so the CR-V’s Real Time AWD finds traction it cannot use on the soft standard dampers. The three adjustment knobs let you separate ride control from grip, so you can run a supple setting for a snow-covered lane and firm it up for a fast, dry gravel section. The larger oil and nitrogen volume keeps damping consistent through a long run, where the factory shocks would fade and the body would start to wallow. The upshot is a tall crossover that finally turns in cleanly and stays settled mid-corner rather than leaning onto its outside front.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

The Pro Racing Gravel/Snow sits at the rally end of the XYZ Racing range, designed first for rally and rallycross rather than smooth tarmac. The headline of the design is travel: both front and rear units carry more stroke than a circuit coilover, which builds in a bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable when it lands hard or crosses a deep rut. To support that, each damper holds a larger volume of suspension oil and nitrogen gas. That extra capacity is what stops the shock oil overheating and giving up after sustained hard use, the failure mode that ends a loose-surface run early. Adjustment runs through three separate knobs. A small oil-hole design inside the valving means that over big bumps the oil is forced through a fine passage, which can produce a faint noise – that is normal behaviour for this build, not a fault.

Fitment for the Honda CRV II (2002-2006)

This kit is built for the second-generation Honda CRV II, chassis code II, covering the 2002 to 2006 model years. Confirm your build year falls inside that span before ordering. Only the fitment data listed here applies, so check it against your car.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.

  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
