The F87 M2 was already the most tail-happy car BMW M had built in a decade: a short wheelbase, the iron-block N55 sitting over the front axle, and an Active M Differential feeding a willing rear end. That combination makes it a natural drift platform, but the factory damping is tuned to keep the back end in check rather than let you hang it out on command. The XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover for the Bmw 2 Series F87 M2 (excl. M2C) is built for the opposite job: holding a sustained slip angle without the chassis loading up unpredictably mid-transition.
This is a competition drift setup, not a fast-road compromise. It is designed to stabilise the body through high-speed direction changes so you can set an angle and carry it, then adjust ride height and bump travel to suit the entry speeds and surfaces you actually run.
What this coilover does for your 2016-2021 Bmw 2 Series F87 M2 (excl. M2C)
Dropping the M2 onto a properly set bump stroke calms the rear squat that makes the standard car snap rather than slide, so initiation becomes something you meter with the throttle instead of fighting. The three independent adjustment knobs let you separate ride height from damping behaviour, which matters on a heavy-nosed RWD coupe that needs front bite to hold a line while the rear is lit up. You get a flatter, more progressive weight transfer into and out of a corner, predictable rotation on lift, and a platform stiff enough to keep the Michelin-shod rear from overwhelming the diff. Steering response sharpens as body roll drops, giving you the wrist-level correction speed drift driving lives on.
About the Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover
The Pro Racing Drift Spec is engineered specifically for competitive drifting rather than adapted from a circuit kit. Its core purpose is to keep the body stable while the car is sideways at speed, so the driver can place and maintain a clean angle and extend the slide on command. Each corner runs three adjustment knobs, with a small oil-hole damping design that meters fluid through a narrow passage. One honest note from the maker: over large bumps that small passage can produce a faint hydraulic noise as the oil moves through, which is normal behaviour for this valving and not a fault. The kit is built for circuit and track surfaces, where that bump character is a non-issue, and it pairs aggressive lowering with controlled bump stroke so the drift behaviour stays consistent.
Fitment for the Bmw 2 Series F87 M2 (excl. M2C) (2016-2021)
This kit is matched to the F87 M2 chassis (chassis code BM82) across the 2016 to 2021 production span. It is specified for the standard M2 and explicitly excludes the M2 Competition (M2C). Confirm your exact build year against the range above before configuring.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
Top mounts included with your kit
Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.
Front
Pillow ball + rubberP+Pillow-ball upper with a rubber insert — adds steering precision and camber adjustability while keeping some of the factory mount’s harshness damping.
Hardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.
Rear
OE (factory) mountOERetains the OEM (factory) upper mount — preserves the original ride comfort, noise and vibration behaviour for a stock-like feel.
