XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Porsche 992 CARRERA-4/S CABRIOLET (without hydraulic lift system) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2019-2026

The 992’s rear-engine architecture – genuinely rear-weighted in a way that sets it apart from virtually every other car in this category – gives a drift build its natural starting point. The problem, on a 2019-2026 Carrera 4S Cabriolet, is that Porsche Active Suspension Management was designed to suppress exactly the behaviour you are trying to exploit. These coilovers include the cancellation hardware to delete that conversation entirely.

The Cabriolet body adds a layer of complexity that coupe-based suspension data ignores: the folding roof mechanism shifts mass rearward relative to the coupé, and the open structure introduces flex that changes how cornering forces feed through the subframe. A suspension calibrated for drift stability in the Cabriolet has to account for that. The Drift Spec does.

What this coilover does for your 2019-2026 Porsche 992 Carrera-4/S Cabriolet

Lowering the ride height through a specifically calibrated reduction in bump stroke – rather than simply compressing the spring stack – keeps the suspension geometry working in its intended range while moving the car’s mass where a drift setup requires it. The result is improved body stability through high-speed turning arcs, which is precisely where the margin between a held angle and a loss of control is decided. With the PASM cancellation hardware in place, damper response comes from the coilover’s internal valving rather than a factory ECU that actively resists oversteer events and fights you for control mid-corner.

About the Drift Spec

The Drift Spec coilover is built specifically for competitive drifting: high-speed cornering stability, sustained angle control, and chassis feedback that allows a driver to hold a precise line through extended transitions. XYZ’s development focus for this type was body stabilisation during high-speed turning – the suspension geometry is calibrated to enhance drift performance rather than the road comfort or lap-time neutrality that other types in the range target. Ride height management through bump stroke calibration sits at the core of how the Drift Spec achieves this: lowering the chassis this way preserves the geometry’s working envelope while delivering the low-centre-of-gravity stance that drift control demands at competition speeds. For this specific Porsche application, the kit includes the electronic damping cancellation hardware required to remove PASM from the control loop – without it, the factory system continuously counteracts the coilover’s intended behaviour.

Fitment for the Porsche 992 Carrera-4/S Cabriolet (2019-2026)

Chassis code PO29-C, covering the 992 Carrera-4S Cabriolet without the factory hydraulic front axle lift system, model years 2019 to 2026. The electronic damping cancellation kit is included as standard on this application – it is a technical requirement for running aftermarket suspension on PASM-equipped 992s without triggering persistent warning states or forcing damper limp-mode behaviour.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
