XYZ Racing Top Sport Coilovers — Porsche 992 CARRERA-4/S CABRIOLET (without hydraulic lift system) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2019-2026

The Carrera-4 front differential and the Cabriolet’s folding roof mechanism both load the front axle of the 992 with mass that the Carrera-2 coupe avoids entirely – and while PASM manages the result well across its preset modes, the system’s parameters are fixed. There is no scope to adjust spring rate or damping beyond what Porsche’s calibration maps allow.

The XYZ Racing Top Sport coilover for the 992 Carrera-4/S Cabriolet (chassis PO29-C) replaces the PASM dampers entirely, bringing 30-50% more damping and approximately 2kg/mm stiffer spring rates than a standard street setup. The included cancellation module handles the electronic damping interface so the car reads the new configuration cleanly – no warning lights, no default-mode fallback.

What this coilover does for your 2019-2026 Porsche 992 CARRERA-4/S CABRIOLET

Higher spring rates reduce the chassis flex that the open Cabriolet body introduces, recovering some of the precision the roof removal costs while the AWD system continues to distribute drive forward. At the front, where the Carrera-4 differential adds nose weight, the firmer rates reduce the initial body roll that can mask the front axle’s natural communication through corner entry. On circuit, the 30-50% damping increase over street spec keeps the wide-body 992 planted through direction changes where PASM’s Sport mode leaves room for movement. On the road, the spring rate increase is firm without being punishing – the Top Sport calibration absorbs sharp-edged hits rather than transmitting them, which matters on the B-roads that link most track day venues to the motorway home.

About the Top Sport coilover

The Top Sport is XYZ Racing’s specification for track days and aggressive road use: settings that are meaningfully stiffer than a street coilover without going to a full circuit-only setup. Damping runs 30-50% higher than conventional street spec, and spring rates sit approximately 2kg/mm above standard – numbers developed through XYZ Racing’s own track day programme rather than extrapolated from a single motorsport application. The construction is designed to absorb the blunt surface impacts that shorter-travel competition setups handle poorly: expansion joints, kerbs, uneven circuit approach roads. Ride height is adjustable independently of spring pre-load, so you can set the 992’s stance without altering the spring geometry. For this chassis specifically, the kit ships with the cancellation module for the PASM electronic damping system – fitting fixed-rate dampers to a PASM-equipped 992 without it will generate continuous fault codes and lock the car into its stiffest fallback mode.

Fitment for the Porsche 992 CARRERA-4/S CABRIOLET (2019-2026)

This kit is built for the Porsche 992 Carrera-4/S Cabriolet, chassis code PO29-C, covering model years 2019-2026. It is specified for cars not fitted with the optional Hydraulic Lift System – if your 992 has front axle lift, this kit is not compatible. The PASM cancellation module is included as standard, addressing the electronic damping management fitted to S-specification cars across this generation.
