XYZ Racing Tarmac Rally Coilovers — Porsche 992 CARRERA-4/S CABRIOLET (with hydraulic lift, excl.control system) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2019-2026

Running a 992 Carrera-4/S Cabriolet on a tarmac stage means managing three things at once: the rear-engine mass bias that defines how the car loads up over the driven axle, the all-wheel drive traction that needs consistent surface contact to deliver its output, and an open body shell that flexes differently from the coupe under the repetitive loads of a sealed stage. The factory PASM adaptive dampers are calibrated for road use and cannot be tuned for stage conditions – so they have to go.

This XYZ Racing Tarmac Rally coilover replaces the factory adaptive system entirely, with a cancellation kit that removes the electronic damping control loop. The hydraulic front-axle lift mechanism is retained, so ground clearance management remains available in service or on access roads around a stage.

What this coilover does for your 2019-2026 Porsche 992 CARRERA-4/S CABRIOLET

The 992’s rear-engine mass is a traction asset over the driven axle, but it places proportionally less load over the front wheels on entry – a dynamic that becomes more pronounced through stage sections with broken or crested tarmac. The cabriolet body compounds this: it adds mass and introduces structural compliance the closed coupe doesn’t carry, which means irregular surface inputs travel through the shell in ways that a road-biased spring and damper combination simply wasn’t specified to handle.

Shock body suppression from these dampers keeps each tyre loaded against the road surface through those moments, supporting the AWD system’s ability to work effectively across all four wheels. The calibration is drawn from XYZ’s direct tarmac rally racing experience, so the rates reflect what a rear-engined AWD open car actually encounters on stage.

About the Tarmac Rally coilover

XYZ Racing’s Tarmac Rally damper is built from the outset for sealed-stage competition – not a repurposed road or track product, but one specified around what fast, uneven tarmac at rally pace actually demands. The core design addresses high-impact compression events: crests, sharp stage joins, and surface transitions that unsettle a car mid-corner or unload a tyre at the worst moment. Effective shock body suppression is central to how these dampers maintain tyre-to-road contact through that kind of surface variation. All settings in the Tarmac Rally range come from XYZ’s racing programme rather than generic road-to-track interpolation – the damper calibration is derived from on-stage data, and the result is a suspension that maintains vehicle stability under conditions that change rapidly from one kilometre to the next.

Fitment for the Porsche 992 CARRERA-4/S CABRIOLET (2019-2026)

Chassis code PO27-C covers the Porsche 992 Carrera-4/S Cabriolet from 2019 to 2026. This kit is specific to cars fitted with the hydraulic front-axle lift system and excludes the lift control system electronics. The included PASM cancellation kit removes the factory electronic damping control loop, which must be disabled for the coilover to function correctly – confirm your build specification before ordering.
