XYZ Racing Gravel Rally Coilovers — Porsche 992 CARRERA-4/S (without hydraulic lift system) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2019-2026

The 992 Carrera-4/S is not an obvious rally weapon – but the rear-engine layout that defines every 911 becomes a genuine asset on loose surfaces, keeping the rear planted as the power feeds through all four wheels. The problem is the standard PASM setup: built for fast roads and circuit lap times, it has neither the stroke nor the compliance to absorb the repeated impacts of a gravel stage.

This Gravel Rally coilover kit addresses that directly. Specified for 992-series Carrera-4/S cars built without the hydraulic front-axle lift system, it replaces the electronic damping entirely via the included cancellation kit – handing control back to hardware that was designed around the job from the outset.

What this coilover does for your 2019-2026 Porsche 992 Carrera-4/S

Gravel rally puts a shock absorber through conditions a road or track setup is never designed to survive: high-speed crests over rough compacted silt, sandstone ruts that load the chassis sideways mid-corner, and snow that turns camber and surface grip into shifting variables. Long-stroke dampers and extended springs give the 992’s four wheels a far greater range of travel before anything runs out of compliance, keeping tyres in contact with the surface across terrain that would otherwise unload an axle completely. For an all-wheel-drive chassis the traction benefit is immediate – the PSM system has less to manage when all four contact patches are working. The inverted tube design adds rigidity through the main damper body, resisting the side-loading that big lateral hits impose on standard-orientation shocks.

About the Gravel Rally coilover

Where conventional shock absorbers place the wider, heavier tube at the bottom, the inverted tube design used in the Gravel Rally reverses that arrangement – increasing stiffness through the main body and reducing unsprung mass at the wheel end, a meaningful gain on a car that already carries significant weight over the rear axle. Long-stroke construction and extended spring lengths are the other defining feature: both are engineered to absorb chassis vibrations, heavy compressions, and extreme lateral G-forces that gravel stage driving generates at speed. The spring rate settings are not guesswork – they were validated by a Rally Racing team across sandstone, snow, and silt surfaces, the three conditions where road state is at its most aggressive. XYZ Racing developed this unit around the reality that Rally Cross imposes harder surface demands than any other form of sprint or circuit competition, and the specification reflects that directly.

Fitment for the Porsche 992 Carrera-4/S (2019-2026)

This kit is specified for the Porsche 992 Carrera-4/S on chassis code PO28-C, covering 2019 to 2026 production. It is designed for cars that were not fitted with Porsche’s hydraulic front-axle lift system, and includes the cancellation hardware required to disable the factory electronic damping control. Confirm your build sheet before ordering – the kit is not compatible with cars retaining the hydraulic lift function.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. In all racing events, road condition of Rally Cross is the most aggressive one. Hence, it means that the shock absorber is the most important utensil during the Rally gravel competition. We develop inverted tube design to meet each different road condition as sandstone, snow or silt. Long stroke and long spring which enable to absorb chassis vibration, aggressively attack from high speed bouncy road and bear extremely G-force when turning. All spring rate setting are tested by Rally Racing team.
