XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Porsche 991 GT2/ RS (without hydraulic lift system) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2017-2026

Rear-engine, rear-wheel drive, and built with a chassis that concentrates its considerable mass directly over the driven axle – the 991 GT2/RS is not a car that behaves predictably under sustained drift angles on standard road suspension. The engine placement that makes the GT2/RS so fast in a straight line also creates a rotational momentum that compounds quickly once the rear steps out; the factory PASM active dampers are calibrated to suppress that tendency, not work with it.

The XYZ Racing Drift Spec coilover for the Porsche 991 GT2/RS is built around a different set of priorities entirely. Covering 2017-2026 cars without the factory hydraulic lift system, this kit ships with the cancellation hardware for Porsche’s electronic damping and replaces the variable PASM setup with fixed geometry tuned specifically to hold the car stable and controllable at angle.

What this coilover does for your 2017-2026 Porsche 991 GT2/RS

Body stabilisation during high-speed rotation is the central challenge of drifting any rear-engine 911, and it is what the Drift Spec is designed to address. Ride height is lowered with proper bump stroke preserved – retaining the compliance needed to manage angle transitions rather than simply dropping the car and sacrificing travel. That balance between reduced height and maintained bump stroke is where drift control reaches a usable condition on the GT2/RS platform. Replacing the PASM active system with fixed damping removes the electronic variable from the equation: the 991’s chassis response becomes consistent across a full competitive run, not subject to individual interventions from the damper management system. Drivers can read the rear axle and correct for it; they are not also correcting for unpredictable rate changes.

About the Drift Spec coilover

The Drift Spec is a coilover line designed for drift competition rather than circuit, sprint, or road use. Where a performance road setup prioritises compliance across varied surfaces and speeds, the Drift Spec geometry is tuned to stabilise the vehicle body during the sustained high-speed turning that defines competitive drifting – holding the car at angle rather than working against it. Ride height is set lower than factory specification, with bump stroke calibrated to give the driver genuine angle control rather than a chassis fighting the correction inputs. The PASM cancellation kit is included as part of the complete fitment, allowing the active damper interface to be bypassed without error states or electronic override – on a car where factory electronics are as embedded in chassis behaviour as they are on the GT2/RS, that clean separation is fundamental to consistent drift performance. XYZ Racing developed the Drift Spec for competitive use, and the geometry reflects the specific demands of racers who need to hold a predictable, repeatable angle under power.

Fitment for the Porsche 991 GT2/RS (2017-2026)

This kit is built for the Porsche 991 GT2/RS, chassis code PO18-C, across the 2017-2026 production run. It applies specifically to cars not fitted with the optional hydraulic front axle lift system. The electronic damping cancellation kit for the PASM system is supplied as part of this fitment, required for correct installation on these electronically damped models.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
