XYZ Racing Gravel Rally Coilovers — Porsche 991 GT2/ RS (without hydraulic lift system) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2017-2026

The 991 GT2 RS was never meant to see gravel. Porsche designed the PO18-C platform around PASM electronic damping, a hydraulic front-axle lift system, and a chassis calibrated entirely for tarmac use. Putting that rear-engined, twin-turbocharged machine onto loose surfaces requires suspension able to absorb the kind of energy no PASM calibration was ever written to handle.

These Gravel Rally coilovers replace the factory electronic damping via a dedicated cancellation kit – no signal spoofing, no makeshift retrofit – and rebuild the GT2 RS’s suspension around the demands of a gravel stage: long stroke, long springs, and inverted-tube construction able to manage sandstone, snow-bound tracks, and compacted silt in succession.

What this coilover does for your 2017-2026 Porsche 991 GT2/ RS

The rear-engined layout that makes the GT2 RS feel planted on tarmac becomes a different variable on gravel – weight transfer on compression and rebound works differently when the majority of the car’s mass sits behind the rear axle. Long-stroke dampers maintain rear wheel contact through the surface discontinuities that would unload a standard setup, keeping the rear-mounted flat-six’s power available at the wheels rather than losing it in wheel-spin. The inverted-tube design lowers unsprung mass at each corner, enabling faster suspension response to abrupt surface changes. Spring rates validated by XYZ Racing’s rally programme are calibrated for repeated high-speed stage demands, not occasional circuit outings.

About the Gravel Rally coilover

The Gravel Rally coilover is built for the specific punishment of stage rally and rallycross – environments where road surfaces change character within a single stage and a standard damper would fail within kilometres. In competitive terms, rallycross represents the most aggressive surface demands encountered in any motorsport discipline, and the shock absorber becomes the single most critical component managing that energy. The inverted-tube construction moves mass centrally and reduces unsprung weight at each corner, enabling a faster suspension response on unpredictable ground. Long-stroke dampers paired with extended springs handle the high-frequency chassis vibration that compacted gravel and loose silt generate at stage speeds, and absorb the lateral forces generated by high-speed direction changes. Every spring rate setting in this application has been developed and validated by a dedicated rally racing programme – run on the stages these dampers were built to survive.

Fitment for the Porsche 991 GT2/ RS (2017-2026)

This kit is configured for the Porsche 991 GT2/RS, chassis code PO18-C, covering the 2017 to 2026 production span. The specification includes a cancellation kit for electronic damping that replaces the PASM system, and is built for cars without the optional hydraulic front-axle lift system – confirm your build specification before ordering.

What buyers also search for

  • The Porsche 991 GT2 RS suspension upgrade that works on gravel rally stages rather than tarmac alone.
  • 991 GT2 RS coilover with PASM cancellation for dedicated motorsport builds.
  • Porsche 991 long-stroke inverted-tube dampers developed for off-tarmac competition conditions.
  • 991 GT2 RS Gravel Rally suspension built for sandstone, snow and silt stage surfaces.
  • XYZ Racing coilover for the Porsche PO18-C chassis spanning the 2017-2026 production years.

The GT2 RS’s potential on gravel stages is largely untapped – this kit opens that chapter. Configure yours below.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. In all racing events, road condition of Rally Cross is the most aggressive one. Hence, it means that the shock absorber is the most important utensil during the Rally gravel competition. We develop inverted tube design to meet each different road condition as sandstone, snow or silt. Long stroke and long spring which enable to absorb chassis vibration, aggressively attack from high speed bouncy road and bear extremely G-force when turning. All spring rate setting are tested by Rally Racing team.
