XYZ Racing Tarmac Rally Coilovers — Honda INTEGRA DC2 TWIN CAM (Rear EYE) 1993-2001

The DC2 Integra was already a scalpel from the factory – 1.8 of high-revving B18C, a chassis that rewards commitment, and a front end that loves to be loaded mid-corner. Drop one onto a closed tarmac stage, though, and the standard setup runs out of answers. Crests unsettle the nose, kerbs pitch the rear, and the front struts struggle to keep the inside tyre planted when the surface breaks up.

That is the gap the XYZ Racing Tarmac Rally coilover is built to close on a 1993-2001 DC2. It is a damper tuned to absorb the impact of broken tarmac and high-speed compressions without losing platform – exactly the trait a Type R or VTi crew needs when the stage notes call for "flat over crest" and the road surface disagrees.

What this coilover does for your 1993-2001 Honda Integra

The Tarmac Rally damping is set up to soak the jolt from big bumps and stage kerbs, then settle the body fast enough to put the front tyres back into the road on corner exit. On a DC2 that translates to a front axle that keeps biting under trail-braking instead of skipping wide, and a rear (running the EYE-style lower mount on this chassis) that follows the front rather than stepping out on mid-corner ridges. You get usable suspension travel where the standard setup runs out, more consistent tyre contact under load, and a noticeably calmer cabin when the road turns ugly. None of this is at the expense of road manners – the same compliance that survives a stage also makes a B-road feel less hostile in a 25-year-old shell.

About the Tarmac Rally coilover

The Tarmac Rally is XYZ Racing’s purpose-tuned damper for sealed-stage rally use. The brief is specific: absorb the impact of uneven pavement, suppress body movement over big compressions, and increase tyre traction over surfaces a circuit damper would skip across. The settings come directly from XYZ Racing’s own tarmac rally programme rather than from a generic catalogue spec, so the valving prioritises composure over the kind of high-frequency stiffness a track-only kit chases. Construction follows XYZ’s coilover platform – adjustable ride height, threaded body, paired springs and damper rates matched to chassis weight – with the Tarmac Rally damping curve being the headline. The result is a coilover that holds the car flat when you ask it to, but does not punish the driver or the shell when the surface stops cooperating.

Fitment for the Honda Integra (1993-2001)

This kit is fitment-specific to the Honda Integra DC2 TWIN CAM with the rear EYE-style lower mount, chassis code AC08, covering the 1993 to 2001 build window. That window covers UK-market DC2s including the Type R and the VTi-R, all sharing the same front strut and rear EYE pickup that this coilover is dimensioned for. Confirm your rear lower mount is the eye-type before ordering – this kit is not the fork-mount variant.
