XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Ferrari CALIFORNIA (Both front and rear top mount are 4 holes) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2008-2014

The Ferrari California is an unlikely drift car, but the front-mid V8, rear-transaxle layout and 47/53 weight balance give the FE04-C chassis the kind of rotational behaviour that a serious drifter can actually work with – once the factory magnetorheological dampers are out of the equation. That is what this kit is built around. The XYZ Racing Drift Spec coilover for the 2008-2014 California ships with the cancellation harness for the electronic damping system, so the ECU stops fighting the suspension the moment the car leaves the workshop.

This is the four-bolt top-mount variant, matched to the California’s specific upper-mount pattern at both axles. It is a competition-focused setup aimed at drivers who want to put a 4.3-litre front-engined Ferrari sideways on a closed circuit and keep it there at angle.

What this coilover does for your 2008-2014 Ferrari California

Drop the ride height, set the bump stroke properly, and the California’s nose starts to behave very differently on entry. Weight transfer becomes something you command rather than something that happens to you – load the front, break traction at the rear, and the chassis holds its line through the slide instead of washing wide. The body stays flat where the standard car would roll and wallow, and the steering loads up consistently as the front tyres bite. With the magnetic dampers cancelled, throttle inputs translate to rear-axle behaviour without the ECU intervening to "calm" the car at exactly the wrong moment. Brake balance under trail-braking entries improves noticeably with the rear height drop.

About the Drift Spec coilover

This is XYZ Racing’s purpose-specific drift suspension, not a circuit kit re-badged for sideways work. The design brief is body stabilisation during high-speed cornering at angle – keeping the chassis flat and predictable when the rear tyres are smoking and the front is taking the steering load alone. The geometry favours a clean, sustained transition: lower the ride height to the correct window, set the bump stroke so the springs work in the right part of their travel, and the car will hold a bigger angle with less correction. XYZ developed the Drift Spec range around what works for drivers chasing competition-grade angle, not road compliance. On the California specifically, the cancellation kit for the electronic damping system is part of the box – the factory adaptive units are removed entirely and the new coilovers run on their own damping curve, full-time.

Fitment for the Ferrari CALIFORNIA (2008-2014)

This kit fits the FE04-C chassis California with the four-bolt top-mount pattern at both the front and rear upper mounts. The 2008-2014 model years are covered, and the electronic-damping cancellation harness is included as standard with this part number. Confirm your top-mount bolt pattern before ordering – Ferrari ran more than one configuration across the California’s life.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
