XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Ferrari 812 (without hydraulic lift system) 2017-2026

The Ferrari 812 was never engineered to be slung sideways. A 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 hung ahead of the front axle, 789bhp routed to the rear wheels through a transaxle gearbox, and a chassis tuned at Fiorano to put every one of those horses down cleanly. Repurposing FE09 for drift discipline means rewriting the suspension brief from the ground up, and that is precisely what the Drift Spec coilover is built to do.

This is a specialist kit for owners running an 812 (non-lift variant) in competitive drifting. It addresses the two problems unique to a long-wheelbase, front-mid-engined V12 on lock: keeping the body composed through transitions at high entry speeds, and giving the driver the ride height and bump stroke to actually hold an angle without the chassis fighting back.

What this coilover does for your 2017-2026 Ferrari 812

Drift work on a car this heavy and this powerful punishes a suspension that wasn’t designed for it. The Drift Spec damping stabilises the body during fast turning, so the 812’s mass doesn’t pendulum on transition and break the rear free unpredictably mid-corner. The kit lets you set a lower ride height with bump travel preserved, which is the difference between a chassis that takes a kerb mid-drift and one that bottoms and snaps. On a front-mid-engined V12 with the weight bias the 812 carries, that bump-stroke margin is what makes prolonged angle controllable rather than a series of recoveries. Damping is calibrated to keep the front tyre planted under counter-steer, where a road-biased setup would unload and give you that vague, washing feel through the wheel.

About the Drift Spec coilover

The Drift Spec is built around a single discipline: drift competition. The damping curves and valving are specifically tuned to stabilise the vehicle body during high-speed cornering, which on a car like the 812 means holding the chassis flat enough that the driver can commit to the angle the V12’s torque will let them carry. The geometry of the kit is set up to give meaningful ride-height reduction without sacrificing the bump stroke needed for drift discipline – the moment that travel runs out at full lock, you lose the car. XYZ Racing’s own drift testing fed the damping spec, and the result is a coilover that treats body control during sustained slip as the primary engineering target rather than a side effect of a road-and-track compromise. Construction follows XYZ’s standard high-load coilover format, sized for the loads a V12 GT generates when it’s being asked to do something Maranello didn’t sanction.

Fitment for the Ferrari 812 (2017-2026)

This kit fits the FE09 812 Superfast and 812 GTS, model years 2017 to 2026, in the non-lift configuration. If your car was specified with Ferrari’s front-axle hydraulic lift system, this is not the correct kit – lift-equipped 812s require a different damper specification to accommodate the OE hardware.

What buyers also search for

  • Ferrari 812 drift coilovers for competitive use on the FE09 chassis
  • 812 Superfast suspension built around body control at high cornering speeds

The Drift Spec is a discipline-specific kit, not a road coilover – configure yours below.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Top mounts included with your kit

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
