XYZ Racing Gravel Rally Coilovers — Ferrari 812 (without hydraulic lift system) 2017-2026

The 812 Superfast was never intended to see a special stage, but the front-mid V12 layout, the long wheelbase and the sheer mass of that 6.5-litre naturally aspirated engine create a chassis that responds beautifully to a properly sorted damper – and brutally exposes one that isn’t. The XYZ Racing Gravel Rally coilover is built for owners running a 812 in events where the surface is loose: gravel hillclimbs, sand-stage shakedowns, or the increasingly serious rally-cross paddock that supercars occasionally show up to.

This is the most aggressive damper in the XYZ range. Long stroke, long springs, inverted tube construction, and spring rates signed off by an active rally team. It is not a fast-road coilover with extra travel – it is a different tool entirely.

What this coilover does for your 2017-2026 Ferrari 812 (without hydraulic lift system)

Inverted tube construction puts the larger-diameter body at the top of the strut, which keeps the working oil column away from the worst of the gravel strikes and improves resistance to bending loads when the car lands sideways off a crest. The long stroke gives the 812’s front axle somewhere to go when it picks up a kerb or compresses into a dipped apex, instead of crashing into the bump-stop and unloading the rear. Spring rates are set for absorbing surface impacts at speed rather than holding a flat platform on smooth tarmac, so the car stays planted through corrugations where a circuit-spec damper would skip and lose grip. Ride height sits high enough to clear loose-surface ruts without scrubbing the front splitter on every compression. For 812s without the factory hydraulic lift, that ground-clearance gain alone justifies the swap on any rough-surface event.

About the Gravel Rally coilover

The Gravel Rally is engineered specifically for the harshest surface conditions in motorsport – sandstone, snow, silt, and the broken-edge gravel that defines rallycross stages. The inverted damper architecture is the headline: it raises the effective pivot point of the strut and improves rigidity under the high lateral G-forces that a heavy GT car generates when it changes direction on a loose surface. Long stroke and long spring length work together to absorb chassis vibration from high-speed bouncy sections without packing down, and to hold the wheel in contact with the ground when the car lands from a yump. Every spring rate in the range has been validated by an active rally racing team rather than calculated on a bench. This is a competition damper first, with the build quality and adjustment range to back that intent up.

Fitment for the Ferrari 812 (Without Hydraulic Lift System) (2017-2026)

Chassis code FE09, covering the 812 Superfast and 812 GTS variants built without the factory front-axle lift option. Year span 2017 to 2026. Cars fitted with the hydraulic lift system require a different part number to retain that function – confirm before ordering if you are unsure which spec your car left Maranello with.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. In all racing events, road condition of Rally Cross is the most aggressive one. Hence, it means that the shock absorber is the most important utensil during the Rally gravel competition. We develop inverted tube design to meet each different road condition as sandstone, snow or silt. Long stroke and long spring which enable to absorb chassis vibration, aggressively attack from high speed bouncy road and bear extremely G-force when turning. All spring rate setting are tested by Rally Racing team.
