XYZ Racing Super Sport Coilovers — Ferrari 812 (without hydraulic lift system) 2017-2026

The Ferrari 812 Superfast is a 789bhp front-mid-engined V12 that asks an awful lot of its suspension on a UK B-road – a long bonnet loading the front Michelins under braking, a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated F140 GA behind the front axle, and a kerb weight that wants to settle into corners rather than dart through them. The factory damping is brilliant on a billiard-table Italian autostrada, but it can feel underdamped on a coarse-chip B-road and overdamped on a kerb at Donington. The XYZ Racing Super Sport coilover for the Ferrari 812 (FE09 chassis, 2017-2026, non-lift cars) is built for owners who use the car the way it asks to be used: hard road work, occasional trackdays, and a stance that looks as serious as the engine note.

This is the fast-road and weekend track variant in the XYZ range. It gives the FE09 platform 36-way damping adjustment and a height-adjustable lower bracket, so the front splitter clearance you want for the supermarket run and the corner-balanced ride height you want for a Bedford Autodrome session are the same set of dampers, set differently.

What this coilover does for your 2017-2026 Ferrari 812 (without Hydraulic Lift System)

On a 1,630kg V12 with this much polar moment, body roll control is the headline benefit – the Super Sport damper firms up turn-in without making the car nervous over mid-corner camber changes. The 36-way damping range is broad enough that you can run a genuinely civilised setting for daily use and still have meaningful clicks in hand for a track session, rather than choosing between teeth-rattling and floppy. Height adjustment via the lower bracket means you can drop the nose to close the wheel-arch gap without preloading the spring, which preserves spring travel and stops the car running out of bump stroke over compression. For owners of non-lift 812s, where the factory hydraulic-lift compromise isn’t even on the table, this also restores some daily usability – a coilover you can wind up an inch for a steep driveway and back down again for a Cadwell weekend.

About the Super Sport coilover

The Super Sport sits in the middle of the XYZ Racing ladder, engineered specifically for cars that split their time between fast road and weekend circuit work. The damper is a 36-way adjustable unit, so a single clicker per corner takes you from a compliant motorway setting to a firm trackday setting without changing springs or revalving. Construction is geared toward absorbing UK road imperfections – broken tarmac, mid-corner ridges, the lifted manhole covers that catch a heavy GT car out – while still controlling weight transfer when you commit. Ride height is independently adjustable on each corner via a threaded lower bracket, which lets you corner-balance the car on scales rather than just lowering it cosmetically. The brief XYZ set themselves with the Super Sport is straightforward: eliminate the discomfort of rough roads at any ride height, and still hold up to a full day of repeat lap sessions.

Fitment for the Ferrari 812 (2017-2026)

This kit is specific to the FE09-platform 812 (Superfast and GTS), model years 2017 through 2026, on cars NOT specified with the factory hydraulic front-lift system. If your 812 was ordered with the optional nose-lift, this is not the correct part – the front strut packaging is different.
