The F87 M2’s short wheelbase and 1,495kg kerb weight make it one of the most rewarding chassis BMW built this decade – and one of the most punishing on a circuit. The stock M Adaptive damping was tuned to flatter B-road owners, which means on a hot Donington lap the nose loads up, the rear S55 grunt overwhelms the outside tyre, and the car starts hunting mid-corner exactly when you want it neutral. The Circuit Master coilover is the answer when you’ve outgrown the OE struts and the M Performance kit feels like a halfway measure.
This is the top-tier circuit-focused damper in the XYZ Racing range, sitting above the road-biased and dual-purpose series. For an F87 M2 used in anger – track days, club sprints, time-attack work – it gives you the platform to actually use the chassis the factory hinted at.
What this coilover does for your 2016-2021 Bmw 2 Series F87 M2 (excl. M2C)
Drop the M2 onto Circuit Master dampers and the first thing you feel is body control under trail-braking into a third-gear corner – the nose stops diving, the rear stays planted, and you can carry the brake further toward the apex without the car taking a set you didn’t ask for. The 9720 valving combinations mean you can run a softer compression for a bumpy circuit like Cadwell and stiffen it right up for the kerbs at Brands Hatch Indy without touching spring rates. Mid-corner, the chassis rotates on throttle rather than washing wide, which is how the M2 should have felt from the factory. Sustained sessions are where the difference compounds: the dampers hold their characteristic across a 25-minute pit window, so lap 12 feels like lap 3.
About the Circuit Master coilover
The Circuit Master is XYZ Racing’s sustained-pace circuit damper, sharing its DNA with the Racing Spec, Drift Spec and Tarmac Rally builds the company campaigns internationally. It has been developed and validated by XYZ race teams at tracks across multiple continents, and it is the platform the brand puts forward when the brief is winning lap times rather than balancing comfort. The defining feature is three independent adjustment knobs that combine to give 9720 distinct damping settings, letting you separate low-speed body control from high-speed bump compliance from rebound recovery. The small-orifice valve design that makes this fine adjustment possible can produce a quiet hydraulic note over sharp street bumps – that is the trade-off for circuit-grade control and is normal behaviour, not a fault. It is built for tarmac with known surface character, not for daily commuting.
Fitment for the Bmw 2 Series F87 M2 (excl. M2C) (2016-2021)
This kit is specified for the F87-chassis M2 produced from 2016 to 2021 with the N55 (early) and S55 (Competition) drivetrains. It does not fit the later M2 CS, which uses different geometry and is sold separately. Confirm your chassis code reads WBS2G7 before ordering.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
Top mounts included with your kit
Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.
Pillow ball + rubberP+Pillow-ball upper with a rubber insert — adds steering precision and camber adjustability while keeping some of the factory mount’s harshness damping.
Hardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.
OE (factory) mountOERetains the OEM (factory) upper mount — preserves the original ride comfort, noise and vibration behaviour for a stock-like feel.
