XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Subaru WRX VB (Electronic Suspension) 2022-2026

The VB WRX arrived in 2022 as the first generation of the nameplate to carry electronically controlled variable dampers as standard equipment. On the road, that system manages body movement competently. In competition drift use, those same dampers are actively working against the driver: they resist the body movement, weight transfer, and angle-building inputs that a drift run is built around. The Pro Racing Drift Spec replaces the factory electronic units with hardware that responds to driver input rather than Subaru’s software calibration.

The VB chassis is measurably longer and heavier than the VA it replaced, with the 2.4-litre turbocharged flat-four producing its torque across a broader, flatter curve than previous WRX engines. Getting a car of this weight and wheelbase to hold competition drift angles takes more than disabling stability control – it requires suspension geometry configured specifically for that work.

What this coilover does for your 2022-2026 Subaru WRX VB (Electronic Suspension)

Removing the OEM electronic dampers and fitting the Pro Racing Drift Spec transfers damping control entirely to the driver via three discrete adjustment knobs. Ride height reduction, combined with correctly set bump stroke, lowers the VB’s centre of gravity and establishes the chassis posture that competition entries are built around. The small oil hole damper construction regulates oil movement through a fixed internal passage, producing consistent and repeatable body behaviour through sustained high-speed turns – particularly relevant in a car generating the lateral forces the VB’s AWD layout produces under power. At competition angles and speeds, the kit’s geometry is calibrated for the forces the chassis is actually experiencing, not the comfort-biased mapping the factory electronic system was written to prioritise.

About the Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover

The Pro Racing Drift Spec is a drift competition coilover built around three separate adjustment knobs that give independent control over the parameters most critical in competitive use. Its small oil hole internal design is a deliberate engineering decision: oil flows through a restricted passage rather than an open valve, which produces a characteristic noise when driven over large road bumps – this is expected and normal. On circuit surfaces, with bump stroke set for the terrain, that same restriction delivers the body stabilisation and angle control the suspension is designed to provide. Ride height is adjustable within a range calibrated for competition stance, and the full tuning envelope is oriented towards circuit drift use rather than a compromise between track performance and daily road compliance. This product makes a clear commitment to one application.

Fitment for the Subaru WRX VB (Electronic Suspension) (2022-2026)

Engineered to chassis code SU28, the kit covers the current-generation Subaru WRX VB with factory electronic suspension across the full 2022-2026 production span. Fitting the Pro Racing Drift Spec replaces the OEM electronic damper units; all suspension adjustment is then handled through the coilover’s three mechanical knobs rather than through the factory electronic system.

The adjustment range covers competition ride heights and damping settings suited to prepared circuit use – configure yours below.

This suspension is especially designed for Drift racing purpose. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowering the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.

Top mounts included with your kit

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.

Front

  • Pillow ball + rubber top mountPillow ball + rubberP+Pillow-ball upper with a rubber insert — adds steering precision and camber adjustability while keeping some of the factory mount’s harshness damping.
  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
