XYZ Racing Gravel Rally Coilovers — Porsche 992 CARRERA-2/S (without hydraulic lift system) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2019-2026

The 992 Carrera’s rear-engine layout – a defining constant of the 911 lineage – concentrates mass behind the rear axle. On tarmac, that rearward bias is a known quantity, something experienced 992 drivers manage instinctively. On gravel, it becomes a variable that the suspension setup must work with from the first corner: the pendulum effect of the engine’s position amplifies rotation on loose surfaces in ways a stiff road-specification damper only makes worse. Run the factory PASM-controlled units on a gravel special and you are asking a comfort-biased electronic system to do the work of a competition damper.

This Gravel Rally coilover kit addresses that directly. Inverted-tube dampers replace the stock units with a competition-specified design built for loose-surface stages, and the included electronic damping cancellation kit eliminates the PASM fault signals that would otherwise appear once the 992’s sensors lose the expected factory data stream.

What this coilover does for your 2019-2026 Porsche 992 Carrera-2/S

Inverted-tube construction mounts the main damper body on the sprung side, reducing unsprung mass at each corner and shielding the damper rod from the debris ingress that conventional units suffer in gravel and silt conditions. The larger outer tube’s additional rigidity resists the lateral bending forces generated by high-speed loose-surface cornering – the sustained loads that a standard road damper is not rated to absorb over stage distances.

Extended stroke travel and long springs give the rear axle room to manage compressions and crests that would drive standard suspension into its bump stops before the stage is half done. That travel, paired with spring rates validated by XYZ Racing’s rally team, means the 992’s inherent rear-axle loading works with the chassis rather than against it.

The PASM cancellation kit is a functional requirement on this platform, not an optional add-on. Without it, the PASM control unit reads missing sensor data as a fault condition, generating warning lights and potential interference with other chassis systems. With it, the car runs cleanly on the coilovers’ own calibration.

About the Gravel Rally coilover

XYZ Racing developed the Gravel Rally series for rallycross and gravel-stage competition – disciplines where surface conditions shift between sandstone, snow, and silt within a single event, and where the shock absorber faces greater sustained stress than in virtually any other motorsport format. Inverted-tube construction is the design choice that underpins the whole series: it keeps the damper rod protected, reduces unsprung mass compared with conventional strut configurations, and provides the torsional stiffness that high-speed gravel sections demand.

Long springs and extended-stroke dampers are specified to absorb chassis vibration and the extreme G-forces generated under hard cornering on loose surfaces – conditions where a short-stroke road coilover runs out of travel almost immediately. The spring-rate calibration for each fitment was developed and tested by XYZ’s rally racing team working across all three primary gravel-event surface types. These are not road rates scaled up; they are competition rates built from stage testing.

Fitment for the Porsche 992 Carrera-2/S (2019-2026)

This kit is designed for the Porsche 992 Carrera-2 and Carrera S (chassis code PO19-C), covering model years 2019 to 2026, and is specified for cars not fitted with the hydraulic front-axle lift system. 992s equipped with PLAS require a different application. The bundled electronic damping cancellation kit manages the PASM signal requirements of the 992 platform and must be installed alongside the coilovers for the system to function correctly.

These are competition-specification coilovers built around stage testing, not a road setup with an uprated spring rate. Confirm the specification against your build requirements and configure yours below.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. In all racing events, road condition of Rally Cross is the most aggressive one. Hence, it means that the shock absorber is the most important utensil during the Rally gravel competition. We develop inverted tube design to meet each different road condition as sandstone, snow or silt. Long stroke and long spring which enable to absorb chassis vibration, aggressively attack from high speed bouncy road and bear extremely G-force when turning. All spring rate setting are tested by Rally Racing team.
