XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — Mitsubishi ECLIPSE CROSS 4WD 2018-2026

The Eclipse Cross 4WD’s raised crossover stance and permanent all-wheel-drive layout put load through the suspension in ways a road-biased factory setup was never tuned to absorb, especially once the surface turns to rutted gravel, wet mud or packed snow. Standard travel runs out fast when the front and rear axles are hunting for grip on a surface that keeps moving underneath the car.

The Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover is XYZ Racing’s answer for exactly that brief: a kit built around extended front and rear travel so the Eclipse Cross can absorb a bigger hit before the suspension bottoms out, keeping the chassis settled through the kind of terrain that would upset a shorter-stroke, circuit-oriented setup.

What this coilover does for your 2018-2026 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross 4WD

The extra front and rear travel is the headline change: it gives the Eclipse Cross a larger buffer before a compression event turns into a harsh, unsettling jolt through the cabin, which matters on loose gravel and snow where wheel movement is constant rather than occasional. Behind that travel sits an increased volume of suspension oil and nitrogen gas, which helps the dampers shed heat more effectively during sustained, repeated inputs, so the shock oil is less likely to overheat and lose its damping character during a long stage or a full day on unsealed roads. Three external adjustment knobs let you retune compression and rebound as conditions change between a dry gravel track and a snow-covered one, without pulling the dampers apart. The result on this 4WD crossover is a chassis that stays composed and predictable as grip levels shift under each corner, rather than one axle suddenly losing composure mid-corner.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

This is a damper built specifically around rally and rallycross use rather than smooth-tarmac circuit driving. The longer-travel front and rear valving is there to keep the car stable over the kind of surface irregularities that gravel and snow stages throw up lap after lap, and the enlarged oil and nitrogen gas reserve is a direct response to the heat that repeated big compressions generate in a damper over a long stint. The three-knob adjustment design uses a small internal oil passage, and on sharp, large bumps that can produce a faint noise from the damper – that’s the oil moving through the restricted passage as designed, not a fault. XYZ Racing engineers the kit to keep working through exactly that kind of punishment, stage after stage, without the shock characteristics fading.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
