XYZ Racing Gravel Rally Coilovers — Mitsubishi ECLIPSE CROSS 4WD 2018-2026

The Eclipse Cross MT35’s biggest asset on loose surfaces is also its biggest handicap on a rutted gravel stage: a tall, softly-sprung crossover chassis with plenty of suspension travel but nowhere near enough control when it lands hard off a crest. Standard dampers cave under repeated compression on a stage, and once the shock oil heats up the platform starts wallowing exactly when you need the most composure. This Gravel Rally coilover kit is built to fix that, not to make the car feel like a tarmac special it was never meant to be.

XYZ Racing’s rally-spec dampers are aimed squarely at events run over sandstone, snow, silt or loose gravel – the roughest surface category any of their platforms are asked to handle. For a 4WD crossover like the Eclipse Cross, that means keeping all four corners loaded and working together through compressions the standard suspension simply can’t process fast enough.

What this coilover kit does for your 2018-2026 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross

The inverted-tube damper design at the heart of this kit was developed specifically to cope with changing surface conditions mid-stage – sandstone one corner, silt or snow the next – without the shock losing consistency as the terrain shifts underneath it. Long-stroke pistons paired with long free-length springs give the MT35’s chassis room to absorb high-speed compressions from a bouncy gravel surface instead of transmitting every hit straight into the body structure. That extra stroke matters most on landings, where a shorter-travel setup would top out or bottom out and unsettle the car’s line. The spring and damping combination is also built to bear the extreme cornering loads a 4WD platform generates when you’re carrying speed into a loose-surface bend, so the Eclipse Cross stays planted through the turn rather than sliding wide. Owners running this kit on rough, unsealed roads or full rally stages get a chassis that absorbs vibration through the structure rather than fighting it corner by corner.

About the Gravel Rally coilover

This damper exists for one job: rally and rallycross competition on the most aggressive road surfaces any of these events throw at a car. XYZ Racing’s engineers built the inverted-tube construction specifically to keep performance consistent as conditions change underfoot, whether that’s sandstone, snow or silt within the same stage. The long stroke and long spring combination is there to absorb chassis vibration and cope with aggressive impacts from high-speed, bouncy terrain, while also managing the extreme g-forces generated mid-corner. Every spring rate offered in this range has been validated by an XYZ Racing rally team rather than set on a bench, so the numbers reflect what actually holds up over a stage rather than a theoretical calculation.

Fitment for the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross (2018-2026)

This kit is built for the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross 4WD, chassis code MT35, covering the 2018 to 2026 model years. It’s specced around the 4WD drivetrain’s fitment points and load paths, so confirm your Eclipse Cross is the 4WD variant before ordering.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. In all racing events, road condition of Rally Cross is the most aggressive one. Hence, it means that the shock absorber is the most important utensil during the Rally gravel competition. We develop inverted tube design to meet each different road condition as sandstone, snow or silt. Long stroke and long spring which enable to absorb chassis vibration, aggressively attack from high speed bouncy road and bear extremely G-force when turning. All spring rate setting are tested by Rally Racing team.
