XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Hyundai IONIQ 5 NE 4WD 2022-2026

The IONIQ 5 NE 4WD carries close to 2.1 tonnes once you account for the battery pack, and that mass sits low and flat under the floor rather than up front like a combustion car. It lowers the centre of gravity, which helps turn-in, but it also means the standard dampers are managing far more weight transfer than they were ever specified for – especially the moment you commit to a slide rather than simply cornering hard. Dual-motor torque arrives instantly too, so that weight transfer happens in an instant rather than building progressively through a rev range.

The XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover kit is built around that specific problem rather than a hot hatch’s assumptions. Its job is to hold the IONIQ 5’s body settled and predictable through committed, high-speed direction change, so the car holds a clean angle instead of wallowing through the transition.

What this coilover does for your 2022-2026 Hyundai IONIQ 5 NE 4WD

Lowering the ride height on a car this heavy only works if the bump stroke is calculated for the extra mass, and that’s the starting point here – the kit drops the IONIQ 5 onto a spring and damper combination sized for the battery-laden platform rather than a generic EV estimate. The 3-way external adjustment lets you separate compression and rebound control front to rear, which matters on a dual-motor car where the front and rear axles are managing torque and weight transfer very differently mid-slide. Dial the rear off softer and the car breaks traction more predictably on initiation; firm the front and the nose holds its line through the transition instead of pushing wide. The result on track is a chassis that settles into an angle rather than one that has to be caught after the fact.

About the Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover

This is a coilover built specifically for the drift discipline, not a general track kit repurposed for sliding. The valving is tuned to stabilise the vehicle body through high-speed turning so the car can be held at a controlled angle rather than fighting for grip back. Ride height comes down with a bump stroke matched to the platform, which is what lets the drop actually improve drift control instead of just lowering the stance. Damping runs through a 3-knob external adjuster built around a deliberately small oil passage; under hard compression over track kerbs, oil moving through that restriction can produce a faint noise, which is a by-product of the valving rather than a fault. The kit is built for circuit use, where repeated kerb strikes and sustained lateral loading are the expected environment, not the exception.

Fitment for the Hyundai IONIQ 5 NE 4WD (2022-2026)

Built specifically for the HY32 chassis code covering the IONIQ 5 NE 4WD dual-motor variant across the 2022-2026 model years. Confirm your car is the 4WD dual-motor specification before ordering, as the rear subframe and damper mounting differ from the single-motor rear-wheel-drive version.

Match the ride height and 3-way damping to your IONIQ 5’s weight and how you drive it – configure yours below.

This suspension is especially designed for Drift racing purpose. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowering the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
