XYZ Racing Gravel Rally Coilovers — Nissan MARCH K13 TYPE2 (Modified Rear Integrated) 2010-2017

The Nissan March K13’s short wheelbase and sub-1000kg kerb weight make it a natural fit for gravel-stage rally and rallycross, where a car that changes direction quickly and shrugs off compression hits has the advantage over outright power. XYZ Racing’s Gravel Rally coilover is built for exactly that discipline, not asphalt track days or fast-road comfort.

This kit uses an inverted-tube damper layout with a long stroke and long spring, giving the K13 enough travel to soak up rutted, uneven surfaces without bottoming out over crests or through compressions. On a car this light, unsprung mass and wheel control matter more than outright spring rate, and that’s the balance this kit is set up around.

What this coilover does for your 2010-2017 Nissan March K13 Type2 (Modified Rr Integrated)

Fit this kit to a March K13 and the first thing you’ll notice on loose surfaces is how much longer the wheel stays in contact with the ground. The long-stroke damper and long spring combination lets the rear axle – already reworked through XYZ Racing’s Modified Rr Integrated setup – track compressions and rebounds without the harsh, deflected feel a road-biased coilover gives on gravel. Inverted-tube construction keeps the damper rod shielded from thrown stones and grit, which matters on a car running stages rather than smooth tarmac. Spring rates are set for the March’s kerb weight rather than borrowed from a heavier platform, so the chassis rotates predictably under trail-braking into a compression instead of pogoing on rebound. The result is a car that holds a line through washboard and rutted sections where a stock or road-spec set-up would be skipping across the surface.

About the Gravel Rally coilover

XYZ Racing’s Gravel Rally range is built specifically for rally and rallycross use, where surface conditions change from sandstone to snow to silt within a single stage and the damper has to cope with all of them. The inverted-tube design puts the more robust part of the damper assembly lower down, reducing the risk of damage from thrown debris on a loose surface. Stroke length and spring length are both extended over road-going kits, giving the suspension the travel to absorb chassis vibration and deal with the repeated high-speed compressions a bouncy gravel road generates, as well as the extreme cornering loads a rally car sees through a tightening gravel bend. Spring rate settings across the range have been developed and tested by a rally racing team rather than calculated on a bench, which is why the damping feels progressive rather than harsh when a wheel drops into an unseen rut. On the March K13 specifically, that translates into a kit tuned around the car’s low weight rather than simply scaled down from a bigger, heavier chassis.

Fitment for the Nissan March K13 Type2 (Modified Rr Integrated) (2010-2017)

This kit is specified for the Nissan March K13 Type2, chassis code NI20-1, covering the 2010 to 2017 production run. It’s built around XYZ Racing’s Modified Rr Integrated rear-end configuration, so confirm your car matches that rear specification before ordering. This is a Type2 specification kit, distinct from other March K13 trims in the range, so double-check the Type2 designation against your vehicle before fitting.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. In all racing events, road condition of Rally Cross is the most aggressive one. Hence, it means that the shock absorber is the most important utensil during the Rally gravel competition. We develop inverted tube design to meet each different road condition as sandstone, snow or silt. Long stroke and long spring which enable to absorb chassis vibration, aggressively attack from high speed bouncy road and bear extremely G-force when turning. All spring rate setting are tested by Rally Racing team.
