XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — BMW 3 SERIES F34 4/6 CYL (excl. M-Technik. xDrive & EDC) (Modified Rear Integrated) 2013-2026

The F34 3 Series Gran Turismo carries more metal over the rear axle than the standard F30 saloon it shares a platform with – a longer wheelbase, a heavier liftback tailgate, and a kerb weight that climbs well past two tonnes on the 6-cylinder cars. Most owners never account for that extra mass until they start throwing the chassis sideways, at which point the standard suspension runs out of ideas fast.

XYZ Racing’s Drift Spec coilover kit is built for exactly that scenario on the RWD, non-M-Technik, non-xDrive, non-EDC 4 and 6-cylinder F34 (2013-2026). It isn’t a fast-road compromise wearing a drift badge – it’s tuned specifically to keep this heavier GT body settled through initiation and controllable once you’re holding an angle.

What this coilover does for your 2013-2026 BMW 3 Series F34 4/6 CYL (excl. M-Technik, xDrive & EDC) (Modified Rr Integrated)

Drop the ride height correctly with the supplied bump stroke and the F34’s higher factory centre of gravity comes down with it, which matters more on this chassis than on the shorter F30 saloon because there’s more bodyshell mass trying to roll and pitch during a transition. The kit’s construction is aimed at keeping that body flat and predictable as you snap the wheel and get on the throttle, rather than letting the rear end wallow and catch you out mid-slide. On a 4 or 6-cylinder F34 without EDC’s adaptive damping to fall back on, a properly set fixed-rate coilover becomes the only way to get consistent, repeatable behaviour from run to run – the car reacts the same way on the fifth pass as it did on the first. Owners running this GT in competitive drift settings will feel the difference most in how the rear axle loads and unloads through the transition, not just in how low the car sits.

About the Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing developed the Drift Spec line specifically for competition drifting, and the engineering brief is different from a track or fast-road coilover: instead of chasing outright grip, it’s built to help the driver hold a controlled, predictable angle once the car has broken traction. The kit’s geometry is set up to stabilise the body during high-speed direction changes so the rear end tracks a consistent line rather than snapping unpredictably mid-corner. Getting the ride height right is central to how it works – set the bump stroke correctly after lowering the F34, and the kit’s behaviour through weight transfer sharpens noticeably, which is where most of the improvement in controllability comes from. It’s built around one job: making sustained, high-angle slides manageable rather than a fight against a two-tonne GT body.

Fitment for the BMW 3 Series F34 4/6 CYL (excl. M-Technik, xDrive & EDC) (Modified Rr Integrated) (2013-2026)

This kit is specced for the F34 3 Series Gran Turismo, 4 and 6-cylinder petrol and diesel variants built 2013-2026, RWD only. It excludes M-Technik suspension cars, xDrive four-wheel-drive models, and EDC adaptive-damper cars, all of which sit on different geometry or electronics and need a different kit. Confirm your build matches these exclusions before ordering.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
