XYZ Racing Drag Racing Coilovers — BMW 3 SERIES F34 4/6 CYL (excl. M-Technik. xDrive & EDC) (Modified Rear Integrated) 2013-2026

The F34 Gran Turismo carries more length and kerb weight over its rear axle than the standard F30 saloon it’s built from, and that extra mass is exactly what a drag launch needs to load correctly in the first metre. Get the weight transfer wrong off the line and the rear tyres spin free before they bite; get it right and the car hooks up hard and holds that grip through the run. This is a RWD-only application, excluding xDrive, EDC and M-Technik cars, which keeps the setup honest – no electronic damper interference, no all-wheel-drive torque split to compensate for.

XYZ Racing’s Drag Racing coilover for the 3 Series F34 exists for one job: 0-400m runs, not lap after lap of circuit abuse. It’s built to plant power the instant the light goes green and stay composed once the car’s moving, rather than to soak up kerbs or trade off ride comfort for daily use.

What this coilover does for your 2013-2026 BMW 3 Series F34

Independent front and rear height and damping adjustment lets you shift static weight rearward before a run, putting more load over the driven axle at the exact moment the clutch or torque converter engages. That extra compression at the rear tyre contact patch cuts the idle spin that costs a launch its first tenth, so the F34 gets its power down instead of burning it off as wheelspin. Once the car’s rolling, the same settings that controlled the launch keep the rear planted through the gear changes rather than letting the chassis pitch and unload the tyres. For a car with the F34’s extended wheelbase and GT body weight, that rear-end control matters more than it would on the shorter F30 saloon – there’s simply more mass to manage on the way to the strip.

About the Drag Racing coilover

This is a purpose-specific spec, not a road or track coilover pressed into drag service. XYZ Racing designed it around the mechanics of a straight-line launch across front-, rear- and four-wheel-drive platforms, which is why the adjustment logic centres on front-to-rear weight bias rather than corner balance. Winding the rear down and the front up shifts static weight onto the driven wheels the moment the car leaves the line, and the increased compression that follows gives the tyre a bigger, more instant contact patch instead of a fraction of a second spinning loose. That translated grip is what shortens the idle period between throttle application and the car actually moving, and it’s also what keeps the rear settled as speed builds through the run rather than the chassis squatting and rebounding unpredictably. On a 3 Series F34, built on the RWD F30 platform without the adaptive EDC dampers to fight against, that adjustment range is left entirely in the driver’s hands.

Fitment for the BMW 3 Series F34 (2013-2026)

Built for the F34-chassis 3 Series Gran Turismo, 4- and 6-cylinder variants, across the 2013-2026 model years. This spec excludes M-Technik, xDrive and EDC-equipped cars, so confirm your F34 sits outside those trims before ordering. The kit uses XYZ Racing’s Modified Rr Integrated rear mounting to suit the F34’s factory rear geometry.

Pick your damping and height spec for the F34’s launch characteristics and build yours below.

The coilovers are specially designed for 0~400 drag racing such as FWD, RWD or 4WD models. The setting allows vehicle to change the front and rear weight according to the transmission wheel in instant driving, and force the transmission tire having greater compression, which can reduce the idle time of wheel and improve the stability of the vehicle under high speed.

Top mounts included with your kit

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.

Front

  • Pillow ball + rubber top mountPillow ball + rubberP+Pillow-ball upper with a rubber insert — adds steering precision and camber adjustability while keeping some of the factory mount’s harshness damping.
  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
