XYZ Racing Racing Spec Coilovers — BMW 3 SERIES F34 4/6 CYL (excl. M-Technik. xDrive & EDC) (Modified Rear Integrated) 2013-2026

The F34 Gran Turismo is the longest, heaviest body ever to wear a 3 Series badge, and that stretched wheelbase and extra mass over the standard sedan change how the factory suspension behaves the moment you point it at a circuit. XYZ Racing’s Racing Spec coilover was built to correct exactly that – a damper whose settings come from direct participation in touring car competition, WTCC included, rather than a fast-road kit relabelled for the track.

This application is built for the BM101-chassis F34, covering both four- and six-cylinder cars, and specifically excludes M-Technik, xDrive and EDC-equipped models. That matters: this is a kit tuned for the standard rear-wheel-drive, passive-damping platform, with a rear integrated-link setup matched to what the car is underneath the liftback bodywork, not a generic 3 Series assumption carried over from the F30 saloon.

What this coilover brings to your 2013-2026 BMW 3 Series F34

Dropping the centre of gravity on a car this long and this tall does more work than it would on a shorter F30 sedan – body roll through direction changes is reduced, and the extra sprung mass over the rear axle stops pitching the car off-line under trail braking into slower corners. The Racing Spec’s damper valving is set stiffer than a fast-road XYZ kit, which keeps the rear-integrated suspension controlled under load rather than letting the GT’s additional length work against you mid-corner. On a RWD car with this much weight to manage, that translates into cleaner power-down out of hairpins and a front end that holds its line instead of pushing wide once the tyres are loaded. Ride height is adjustable independently of spring preload, so you can set the car for a given track’s kerb height without touching the damping you’ve already dialled in for that circuit.

About the Racing Spec coilover

XYZ Racing developed the Racing Spec line specifically for track competition, pulling its damping settings from real racing programmes rather than bench estimates – the company’s own touring car involvement, including WTCC, fed directly into how this damper is valved. For cars carrying heavier supporting modifications – cage, aero, forged wheels, the kind of build that starts looking like a factory-built racer or an A-class competition car – XYZ Racing also offers bespoke shock builds outside the standard catalogue spec. That route means supplying details of what else has been changed on the car and which circuit it’s aimed at, so the damper can be built around that specific combination rather than a catalogue setting. It’s the same philosophy applied to a production-fit kit: settings proven on a race track, adapted to a chassis you can still drive to the circuit.

Fitment for the BMW 3 Series F34 (2013-2026)

This kit is built for the F34-chassis (BM101) 3 Series, four- and six-cylinder, across the 2013-2026 production run, with the Modified Rr Integrated rear geometry. It is not compatible with M-Technik suspension, xDrive four-wheel-drive cars, or models fitted with factory Electronic Damper Control – confirm your car isn’t one of these three before ordering.
