XYZ Racing Drag Racing Coilovers — BMW 2 SERIES F87 M2 (excl. M2C) (Modified Rear Integrated) 2016-2021

The F87 M2 (excl. M2C) sends its N55 turbo six’s torque through a live rear axle and a factory spring rate tuned for B-road turn-in, not a two-second 60-foot time. Get the launch wrong on this RWD chassis and the inside rear tyre spins before the front axle has even settled, and the run is gone before second gear.

The XYZ Racing Drag Racing coilover for this M2 is built around one job: loading the compound onto the rear contact patch the instant the clutch or line-lock releases. It isn’t a track-day damper set repurposed for the strip – the valving, ride height range and spring rates are all specced around a standing quarter mile, not a lap.

What this coilover kit does for your 2016-2021 Bmw 2 Series F87 M2 (excl. M2C) (Modified Rr Integrated)

On this M2, a hard launch unloads the front axle and needs the rear to load fast enough to put that torque down before wheelspin burns the run. The kit’s adjustable ride height lets you drop the front and settle the rear, biasing weight onto the driven wheels the moment you leave the line, while the damping range is set to control that transfer without the axle hopping or the tyre unloading mid-shift. Because the M2’s Modified Rr Integrated rear end already carries factory geometry, the rear spring rate is matched to keep compression progressive rather than harsh, so the tyre stays loaded through the pull instead of spiking and releasing grip. On the strip that means a more repeatable 60-foot time and less wheelspin wasted off the line.

About the Drag Racing coilover

XYZ Racing built this range specifically for 0-400m drag work across FWD, RWD and 4WD platforms, and on a rear-driven car like the M2 that means the setup is tuned to shift weight rearward onto the driven axle the instant the car launches. The valving forces greater compression through the rear travel under load, which shortens the time the tyre spends unweighted and cuts the idle spin that costs a run before the car has left the beam. Front and rear settings work together rather than independently – the front governs how quickly the nose lifts, the rear governs how hard the driven tyre bites – so the balance is set for straight-line stability at speed rather than cornering compliance. It’s a coilover built around getting power to the ground once, in a straight line, as fast and as repeatably as possible.

Fitment for the Bmw 2 Series F87 M2 (excl. M2C) (Modified Rr Integrated) (2016-2021)

This kit is built for the F87-chassis (BM83) BMW M2, excl. M2C, 2016-2021, matched to the Modified Rr Integrated rear end used on this generation. It does not cover the M2 Competition, which runs a different engine and a revised rear subframe – confirm your exact spec before ordering.

The coilovers are specially designed for 0~400 drag racing such as FWD, RWD or 4WD models. The setting allows vehicle to change the front and rear weight according to the transmission wheel in instant driving, and force the transmission tire having greater compression, which can reduce the idle time of wheel and improve the stability of the vehicle under high speed.

  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
