XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — BMW 2 SERIES F87 M2 (excl. M2C) (Modified Rear Integrated) 2016-2021

The F87 M2’s short 2,693mm wheelbase and its N55 turbo six sitting hard over the front axle make it one of the most rotation-happy chassis BMW has built in the last decade – which is exactly the trait a drift-spec platform needs to work with, not against. XYZ Racing’s Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover for the BMW 2 Series F87 M2 (excl. M2C) is built around that behaviour, giving you the ride height and damping control to hold a big angle through a transition rather than fight it back.

This isn’t a fast-road or track-day compromise wearing a drift-kit label. It’s tuned specifically for sustained slip-angle control, repeatable body stability at speed, and the kind of low, planted stance competitive drifting demands from a 2016-2021 M2.

What this coilover does for your 2016-2021 BMW 2 Series F87 M2 (excl. M2C)

Drop the ride height correctly and the M2’s centre of gravity comes down without eating into the bump stroke you need for kerbs, ripple strips and mid-corner bumps at competition speed. The coilover’s damping range lets you firm up compression and rebound independently, so the rear end steps out predictably instead of snapping, and you can hold the car at a bigger angle for longer before it needs correcting. Because the design accounts for the F87’s rear subframe geometry, load transfer under trail-braking and initiation stays consistent rather than upsetting the chassis mid-manoeuvre. For a car that’s already quick to rotate on stock suspension, that predictability is what separates a controlled drift from a spin.

About the Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover

XYZ Racing developed the Pro Racing Drift Spec line specifically for competition drift use, where the priority is holding the car’s body stable through high-speed direction changes rather than simply keeping the ride comfortable. Each corner runs three external adjustment knobs, giving you separate control over the damping circuit so you can tune compression and rebound to the grip level of a given track surface. The valving uses a small-oil-hole passage design, which is deliberate: it’s what lets the damper respond quickly enough for aggressive weight transfer, and on rough sections of circuit tracks it can produce a faint noise as oil moves through that passage – a normal characteristic of this type of valving, not a fault. Set the ride height correctly with the available bump stroke and the difference in angle control becomes obvious the first time you push the car into a transition. This is track-specific hardware, built for circuit use rather than daily commuting, and it’s tuned to reward drivers who already know how to read a chassis at the limit.

Fitment for the BMW 2 Series F87 M2 (excl. M2C) (2016-2021)

This kit is built for the F87-chassis BMW 2 Series M2, excluding the M2 Competition, across the 2016 to 2021 production run. The rear mounting uses a modified, integrated design matched to the F87’s rear subframe and arm layout, so installation doesn’t require adapting a generic multi-link kit to fit. Confirm your car sits within the BM83 chassis code and model years above before ordering.

Every Pro Racing Drift Spec kit for the F87 M2 is built to the same spec, so the only decision left is your damping settings – configure yours below.

This suspension is especially designed for Drift racing purpose. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowering the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.

Top mounts included with your kit

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.

Front

  • Pillow ball + rubber top mountPillow ball + rubberP+Pillow-ball upper with a rubber insert — adds steering precision and camber adjustability while keeping some of the factory mount’s harshness damping.
  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
