XYZ Racing Circuit Master Coilovers — BMW 2 SERIES F87 M2 (excl. M2C) (Modified Rear Integrated) 2016-2021

The F87 M2’s short wheelbase and stiff shell put more load through the rear axle in a single direction change than most owners expect from a compact BMW, and the standard dampers were never built to hold a line lap after lap once track temperatures climb. XYZ Racing’s Circuit Master coilover is built around that exact problem: a chassis with the bandwidth to hit big numbers, but factory hardware that softens up the moment you start stacking sessions.

For circuit work in the M2 (excl. M2C), the Circuit Master trades daily-driver compliance for a damper that stays consistent when the rest of the car is working hard – rear-end control under trail braking, resistance to squat on corner exit, and a platform that doesn’t wander as oil temperatures rise through a 20-minute session.

What this coilover does for your 2016-2021 BMW 2 Series F87 M2

On this chassis the biggest gain is rear axle discipline: the M2’s short-coupled rear end can get busy mid-corner once the standard dampers heat-soak, and a monotube coilover with proper high-speed compression control keeps the rear tyres loaded evenly instead of skipping. Ride height and corner-weighting adjustment let you correct the nose-down stance the F87 picks up with wider front track setups, while independent damping control means you can firm up compression for track days and back it off for the drive home. The 9,720-way adjustment range on the Circuit Master gives enough granularity to separate bump and rebound behaviour properly, rather than the compromise a single-adjuster damper forces on a car that already asks a lot of its rear subframe under load.

About the Circuit Master coilover

The Circuit Master sits at the top of XYZ Racing’s range and is built specifically around circuit use rather than road comfort. It’s been run and validated by XYZ’s own racing teams across a number of international circuit programmes, and that mileage feeds directly into the damper tune rather than a spec sheet exercise. Adjustment comes through three external knobs feeding 9,720 combinations of compression and rebound, which is enough range to tune for a specific circuit’s kerbs and camber changes rather than settling for a generic track setting. The valving uses a small-orifice oil path, which on rougher surfaces can produce a faint clicking noise as oil moves through the passage under sharp inputs – this is a function of the design, not a fault, and it doesn’t affect damping consistency on circuit tarmac. Construction and adjustment range are aimed squarely at sustained lapping, where a damper needs to hold its characteristics through heat cycles rather than just perform well on the first lap.

Fitment for the Bmw 2 Series F87 M2 (excl. M2C) (Modified Rr Integrated) (2016-2021)

This kit is built for the BM83 chassis code, covering the F87-generation M2 across the 2016-2021 production run, specifically the variant using the modified rear-integrated mounting rather than the M2 Competition’s setup. Confirm your car sits in the excl. M2C bracket before ordering, since the rear subframe interface differs between M2 and M2 Competition builds within this generation.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
