XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — Subaru BRZ 2012-2021

Point a first-generation BRZ at a gravel stage or a snow-covered back road and its character shows up immediately: the FA20 boxer sits low in the nose, the weight balance is honest, and the rear rotates on a trailing throttle the second grip turns loose. What runs out first is suspension travel – the standard setup packs down and overheats long before the driver backs off. The XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover for the Subaru BRZ is built for that loose-surface job specifically.

This is a long-travel, rally-minded kit rather than a tarmac-circuit one. It gives the SU00 BRZ the wheel movement, damping headroom and composure to keep attacking a rough stage without fade, while staying adjustable enough to suit gravel one weekend and packed snow the next.

What this coilover does for your 2012-2021 Subaru BRZ

The extra front and rear travel keeps the BRZ’s skinny-footprint tyres pressed into the surface over crests, ruts and compressions where a shorter-stroke damper would unload and skip. That bigger buffer distance settles the car mid-corner, so the playful lift-off rotation the FA20 chassis is known for becomes something you can lean on rather than fight. The enlarged oil and nitrogen volume means the dampers hold their rate deep into a stage instead of going soft as they heat up, and the three adjustment knobs let you firm the car up for hard-packed gravel or open it out for snow and slush. The result is a BRZ that stays planted and predictable when the surface stops cooperating.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

This damper is engineered for rally and rallycross use, where surface compliance matters more than outright ride height drop. Both ends carry longer travel to create a larger buffer zone that keeps the car stable through big inputs. The key to its endurance is volume: XYZ Racing has increased the quantity of both suspension oil and nitrogen gas inside the body, which steadies the shock and stops the oil temperature climbing high enough to lose its damping after sustained hard use. Adjustment runs through three separate knobs, fed by a small oil-hole design. One honest quirk follows from that design – hitting large bumps forces oil through the narrow passage and can produce a faint noise. That is normal behaviour, not a fault, and on a loose stage it goes unnoticed.

Fitment for the Subaru BRZ (2012-2021)

This kit is built for the first-generation Subaru BRZ, chassis code SU00, across the full 2012 to 2021 model run. It is a direct fit for that platform – confirm your build year falls inside the 2012-2021 span before configuring.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
