XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — Mazda RX7 FC3S 1985-1991

The FC3S carries its 13B rotary low and well back in the bay, giving the second-generation RX-7 a balance most of its period rivals couldn’t touch – and on gravel or snow that neutrality becomes something you can lean on rather than fight. The XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover is built for exactly that job: loose-surface stage and rallycross work, where wheel travel rather than ride height decides whether the car stays planted.

This is not a lowering kit. It is a long-travel, high-capacity damper designed to keep a light rotary RX7 FC3S composed over crests, ruts and frozen ridges that would leave a tarmac coilover out of stroke. Three-way adjustment means you set the car up for the surface in front of you instead of living with one fixed compromise.

What this coilover does for your 1985-1991 Mazda RX7 FC3S

The extra front and rear travel gives the FC’s independent rear suspension – the first RX-7 to get a fully independent setup – room to follow the ground instead of skipping across it, so drive and braking stay hooked up on loose stages. The larger volume of oil and nitrogen keeps the damping consistent through a long run, so the car feels the same on the final corner as it did on the first. The three knobs let you soften compression for deep snow or firm things up for hard-packed gravel without touching ride height. With more buffer distance built in, the tail stays predictable when the surface drops away under power.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

Built primarily for rally and rallycross, the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow runs noticeably longer stroke at both ends than a circuit coilover, opening a bigger buffer zone that keeps the car stable when it lands or crosses a rut. The core of the design is capacity: an enlarged reserve of shock oil and nitrogen gas that resists heat build-up, so the damping doesn’t fade after sustained hard use on a long stage. Adjustment runs through three separate knobs, each feeding a small-bore oil passage. One honest note carries over from the maker – on big hits the oil is forced through that narrow passage and can produce a faint noise; that is the valving working as intended, not a fault. The whole package is engineered for repeated abuse on loose and frozen surfaces.

Fitment for the Mazda RX7 FC3S (1985-1991)

This kit is cut for the FC3S chassis, the second-generation RX-7 built from 1985 to 1991. The long-travel front and rear units locate to the car’s standard pickup points. Confirm your chassis code and year against the listing below before ordering.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.

  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.

Rear

  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
