XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Hyundai GENESIS COUPE BK 3.8 2008-2010

The Genesis Coupe BK’s front-engine, rear-drive layout is half the reason it became a grassroots drift staple: a torquey 3.8 Lambda V6 sat over the front axle, a multilink rear, and factory damping that was never built to hold a sustained slip angle. The XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover is built for exactly the discipline this car gets used for – keeping the body settled through a fast, committed turn so the front end stays loaded and the angle stays where you put it.

This is a competition drift setup rather than a fast-road compromise. It is designed to stabilise the chassis at speed and let you build and hold a clean angle, then lower the ride height with the correct bump stroke so the BK 3.8 rotates on entry and stays controllable once it is sideways.

What this coilover does for your 2008-2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe BK 3.8

The standard car leans on its outside front corner and washes into understeer when you push it hard, which is the opposite of what a drift chassis wants. This coilover pulls the centre of gravity down and firms up body control so the BK 3.8 transitions flatter and more deliberately. Set the ride height and bump stroke to suit your driving and the car holds a bigger angle at higher speed without the front tucking under. The result is a rear end you can place on command, a front axle that keeps biting through the corner, and a platform consistent enough to read lap after lap on a circuit.

About the Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover

This is a dedicated drift specification, not a softened road kit wearing a track badge. The damping and spring package is tuned to settle the body in high-speed cornering so you can carry and sustain a precise angle, and the geometry is set up to reward lowering with a matched bump stroke for fine control over rotation. It runs three adjustment knobs, giving separate control over how the car takes weight and rebounds during transitions. The valving uses a small oil-hole design, so over large bumps the oil is forced through a tighter passage and you may hear a faint noise – this is normal and inherent to the spec. It is engineered for circuit and competition surfaces, where a smooth, predictable platform matters more than ride plushness.

Fitment for the Hyundai Genesis Coupe BK 3.8 (2008-2010)

This kit is specified for the Hyundai Genesis Coupe BK chassis (chassis code HY09) in 3.8 V6 form, covering the 2008 to 2010 model years. It is matched to the rear-drive BK platform, so confirm your car is the 3.8 BK variant within that year span before configuring.

This suspension is especially designed for Drift racing purpose. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowering the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
