XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — Hyundai COUPE 1997-2001

The first-generation Hyundai Coupe rides on a front-driven Beta platform that left the factory tuned soft for showroom comfort – exactly the wrong starting point once the surface turns to gravel or packed snow. The XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover for the Hyundai Coupe answers that with long-travel dampers built for loose-surface stage work rather than smooth tarmac.

This is the rally and rallycross end of the XYZ range. Extra suspension travel front and rear gives the car a bigger buffer to absorb ruts, crests and broken ground while keeping the tyres loaded, so the HY03 stays settled where a short, stiff circuit setup would skip and wash wide.

What this coilover does for your 1997-2001 Hyundai Coupe

Fit a set and the 1997-2001 Hyundai Coupe gains travel where it counts. Each damper carries a larger oil volume and more nitrogen gas, which holds damping consistent across a long gravel stage that would otherwise overheat a smaller shock. The three-knob adjustment lets you separate how the car handles initial bump from how it controls rebound, so you can soften off for rough snow and firm things up as grip returns. The extended stroke keeps the wheels reaching into dips and over jumps instead of topping or bottoming out – on a light front-drive car like the Coupe, that shows up as a front end that bites on turn-in and a rear that rotates without snapping away.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

The Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover is engineered first for rally and rallycross duty. Its defining trait is travel: both front and rear units run longer stroke than a tarmac kit, opening a larger buffer zone that keeps the car stable when the road surface drops away beneath it. To support that stroke, each damper holds a greater reserve of oil and nitrogen gas, resisting the heat build-up that fades a smaller shock after sustained hard running. Adjustment is handled through three knobs, and the internals use a small-bore oil passage; over big hits you may notice a faint noise as oil is forced through that passage, which is normal behaviour and not a fault. It is a setup designed to be hammered over loose ground without the damping going away on you.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.
