XYZ Racing Drag Racing Coilovers — Ferrari 812 (with hydraulic lift system) 2017-2026

Launch a 789bhp rear-drive 812 hard and the problem is never power – it is getting the rear tyres to bite before that 6.5-litre V12 spins them up. The XYZ Racing Drag Racing coilover for the Ferrari 812 is set up to manage that first half-second, shifting load rearward off the heavy front-mounted engine and pressing the driven tyres into the tarmac as the launch loads up.

This is a straight-line specialist, aimed at 0-400 metre standing runs rather than circuit lapping. It is the version built to work with the car’s factory hydraulic front lift system, so you keep the clearance for ramps and steep entrances without surrendering the low static ride height that helps the 812 hook up.

What this coilover does for your 2017-2026 Ferrari 812

Set the car up for a launch and you feel the difference where it counts: in the rear axle’s ability to put torque down without lighting up the tyres. The valving is tuned to let the nose rise and the tail squat under hard acceleration, moving weight onto the driven wheels so they compress into the surface instead of breaking traction. Less wheelspin off the line means less time wasted before the 812 is actually moving forward. At the top end, the same control keeps a long, nose-heavy chassis settled as speeds build past the point where an unsettled car starts to wander. The result is a more repeatable launch and a calmer car through the traps.

About the Drag Racing coilover

XYZ Racing builds the Drag Racing series for a single job: the 0-400 metre standing run. Unlike a fast-road or circuit kit, the damping and geometry are configured to deliberately manage front-to-rear weight transfer according to which wheels drive the car – the platform is engineered to suit front-, rear- and four-wheel-drive layouts, with the spec here matched to the 812’s rear-drive configuration. The aim is to force the driven tyres into greater compression at the instant of launch, maximising the contact patch and the grip available. By cutting the time the wheels spend spinning uselessly, the kit reduces that idle moment off the line and helps the car convert engine torque into forward motion sooner. The same valving works to hold the 812 stable once it is up to high speed, where a heavy nose can otherwise make a less-disciplined chassis feel nervous.

Fitment for the Ferrari 812 (with hydraulic lift system) (2017-2026)

This kit is matched to the Ferrari 812 carrying chassis code FE08, covering the 2017 to 2026 model span. It is the specification for cars fitted with the factory hydraulic front lift system, so the nose-raise function for ramps and kerbs is retained. Confirm your car runs the hydraulic lift before ordering, as non-lift cars take a different specification.

If your 812 lives for the strip rather than the circuit, this is the spec to start from – pick your damping and ride-height options and build yours below.

The coilovers are specially designed for 0~400 drag racing such as FWD, RWD or 4WD models. The setting allows vehicle to change the front and rear weight according to the transmission wheel in instant driving, and force the transmission tire having greater compression, which can reduce the idle time of wheel and improve the stability of the vehicle under high speed.
