XYZ Racing Pro Racing Gravel/Snow Coilovers — BMW X4 G02 4WD (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2018-2026

The G02-generation X4 carries its mass high and rides on factory adaptive dampers, which is precisely what makes a long-travel coilover conversion worth doing properly on this chassis. This is the gravel and snow variant of XYZ Racing’s Pro Racing range, built around extra suspension stroke rather than the short, firm travel of a circuit-only kit.

Supplied with a cancellation kit for the electronic damping, it lets the standard adaptive setup be removed cleanly so the dampers run as fully mechanical units without the dash throwing a fault. On a heavy xDrive crossover that spends time on loose or low-grip surfaces, that extra travel is the whole point.

What this coilover kit does for your 2018-2026 BMW X4 G02 4WD

Longer front and rear travel gives the X4 a bigger buffer over crests, ruts and compressions, keeping the tyres loaded and the body settled where a short-stroke kit would run out of stroke and skip. The enlarged oil and nitrogen gas capacity inside each damper is the part you feel late in a stage or a long loose-surface run: the shock resists heat soak, so damping stays consistent instead of going vague as the oil warms. Three separate adjustment knobs let you set bump and rebound to match the surface, from packed snow to broken gravel. On a tall, nose-led 4WD body like the G02, that combination is what stops the X4 wallowing on its springs and lets it stay flat and predictable when the surface stops being smooth.

About the Pro Racing Gravel/Snow coilover

This damper is engineered first for rally and rallycross use, where stroke and thermal headroom matter more than outright stiffness. The longer travel front and rear builds in a larger buffer distance to keep the car stable over big inputs, and the increased volume of shock oil and nitrogen gas is there specifically to hold damping stable and prevent the oil overheating after sustained hard use. Each unit carries three adjustment knobs feeding a small-orifice valving design. A note worth knowing: over large bumps that fine oil passage can produce a faint noise as fluid moves through it. That is normal behaviour for this valving, not a fault, and it is a deliberate trade for the control the design delivers.

Fitment for the BMW X4 G02 (2018-2026)

Built for the BMW X4 G02 4WD, chassis code BM116-C, across the 2018 to 2026 model span. This is the variant that includes the cancellation kit for cars fitted with factory electronic damping. Confirm your build below before ordering.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. With longer travel for both front and rear, it increases bigger buffer distance to keep the car stable. The most advantages of this product is to extend the amount of suspension oil and nitrogen gas which can increase the stability of the shocks and prevent the shock oil temperature too high from being exhausted after long-term use.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.

Top mounts included with your kit

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.

  • Pillow ball + rubber top mountPillow ball + rubberP+Pillow-ball upper with a rubber insert — adds steering precision and camber adjustability while keeping some of the factory mount’s harshness damping.
  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.
  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
