XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — BMW 6 SERIES E63 / E64 M6 (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2004-2010

The E63/E64 M6 left the factory with Electronic Damping Control and the better part of 500bhp from its S85 V10 sitting over the front axle, and neither of those things makes the car a natural drifter. The XYZ Racing Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover for the BMW 6 Series E63 / E64 M6 removes that electronic damping system entirely and replaces it with a manually controlled platform built for competitive drifting, where you set the car rather than letting a control module guess.

This is the version supplied with the cancellation kit for electronic damping, so the factory EDC is closed off cleanly when the original adjustable dampers come out. What you gain is a chassis that loads up the same way every time you pitch it in, which is exactly what a heavy, V10-engined GT needs before it can be driven sideways with any confidence.

What this coilover does for your 2004-2010 Bmw 6 Series E63 / E64 M6

Drop the ride height with the bump stroke set correctly and the M6 stops fighting weight transfer and starts holding a clean angle through a high-speed entry. Three adjustment knobs give you separate control over the damping, so you can firm the car up to keep the body stable mid-slide without making it unusable getting to the track. The point of this setup is repeatability: once you find an angle that works, the coilover keeps the car there instead of washing the front or snapping the rear. For a 1700kg-plus coupe or convertible that is the difference between a car that drifts and one that just oversteers and recovers.

About the Pro Racing Drift Spec coilover

The Pro Racing Drift Spec is engineered specifically for drift use, not adapted from a fast-road kit. Its design focuses on stabilising the body during high-speed cornering so the car can be held at a deliberate angle, and on lowering the ride height while keeping enough bump stroke to stay controllable. Adjustment runs through three knobs, and the damper internals use a small oil-hole design – under big hits the oil is forced through that narrow passage, which can produce a faint noise. That is normal behaviour, not a fault, and it is a consequence of building the valving for circuit surfaces where bumps are not the concern. This is a track and competition product first.

Fitment for the Bmw 6 Series E63 / E64 M6 (2004-2010)

This kit fits the M6 in both E63 coupe and E64 convertible bodies, chassis code BM47-C, across the 2004 to 2010 build span. It is the cancellation-kit specification, supplied to delete the factory Electronic Damping Control so the manual coilover can run without triggering the original EDC.

This suspension is especially designed for Drift racing purpose. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowering the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Because its 3 adjustment knobs with small oil hole design, when driving through big bumps, the coilover oil will go through small passage which might cause some small noise. This is normal situation. This product is made for circuit tracks and there will be no concern for bumps on the tracks.

  • Hardened rubber top mountHardened rubberRHardened rubber upper — firmer than the factory bush for tighter response while retaining road-friendly noise and vibration isolation.
  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
