XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — BMW 6 SERIES E63 / E64 M6 (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2004-2010

The E63 M6 was never built to slide. A 5.0-litre S85 V10 sat ahead of the front axle, EDC (Electronic Damping Control) managed every compression and rebound stroke, and the car’s natural instinct on a wet roundabout was to grip until it didn’t. The XYZ Racing Drift Spec coilover rewires that brief entirely, swapping the OE adaptive struts for a fixed, manually-adjustable platform built around the demands of competitive drifting.

Critically, this kit ships with the electronic damping cancellation hardware needed to silence the EDC fault codes once the factory struts come out. That means no dashboard warnings, no limp-home behaviour, and a clean install on a chassis that normally refuses to give up its electronic suspension without a fight.

What this coilover does for your 2004-2010 Bmw 6 Series E63 / E64 M6 (cancellation Kit For Electronic Damping)

Lowering the M6 onto a stiff, height-adjustable platform transforms the way the front end loads under entry. The Drift Spec geometry holds the body flatter through high-speed transitions, which is where the V10’s weight wants to keep travelling once you’ve thrown the car sideways. You can set ride height with usable bump stroke so the inside-front wheel still has travel to plant power down mid-drift, rather than skipping over surface changes. The fixed-rate damping is calibrated firm enough to control the M6’s mass without the lag you’d get from running the OE adaptive struts at their hardest setting. Expect sharper turn-in, an honest rear axle that breaks away on throttle rather than on weight transfer, and the kind of corner-exit angle that judges actually score.

About the Drift Spec coilover

The Drift Spec is XYZ Racing’s purpose-engineered platform for one discipline, and the spec sheet reflects that. The damper bodies and spring rates are chosen to stabilise the car at high cornering speeds and through extended transitions, so the body stays composed when you’re committed to angle. Lowering the ride height while preserving proper bump stroke is central to the design – XYZ describe it as the difference between a car that drifts well and one that drifts brilliantly. The kit is built for the realities of competitive drifting: repeated heavy use, aggressive entry speeds, and the need for predictable behaviour as the car loads up against the outside front. It is not a fast-road compromise. It is a kit for drivers who have decided what the M6 is going to be used for.

Fitment for the Bmw 6 Series E63 / E64 M6 (Cancellation Kit For Electronic Damping) (2004-2010)

Built for the E63 coupe and E64 convertible M6 (chassis code BM47-C) from 2004-2010, fitted with factory Electronic Damping Control. The included EDC cancellation kit is what makes this a direct-fit solution on this specific chassis – kits without it will throw fault codes. Confirm your car has factory EDC before ordering.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.
