XYZ Racing Gravel Rally Coilovers — Porsche 992 CARRERA-4/S (with hydraulic lift, excl.control system) 2019-2026

The 992 Carrera-4/S’s rear-engine AWD layout makes it an unconventional gravel stage weapon – but Porsche’s rally history runs deeper than most rivals’ entire motorsport careers. The pronounced rearward weight bias inherent to the flat-six’s position behind the rear axle is a liability under hard braking on loose surfaces, yet becomes an asset on acceleration out of a slow hairpin where rear-biased torque delivery does the work. It is, in short, a car that rewards understanding its fundamentals.

The 992’s PASM adaptive dampers were calibrated for tarmac; the stroke limits and damping curves that perform well on smooth roads become a genuine constraint once the surface turns to gravel and compressions arrive without warning. The XYZ Racing Gravel Rally coilover for the Porsche 992 Carrera-4/S replaces that system entirely, bringing long-travel inverted-tube geometry and rally-tested spring rates to a car the factory never intended to leave the asphalt.

What this coilover does for your 2019-2026 Porsche 992 CARRERA-4/S

Inverted tube construction reduces unsprung mass at both axles – important on a car where the rear-engine layout already demands careful management of wheel loading between ends. Long-stroke damping absorbs the sudden compressions that define gravel stage driving: blind brow landings, hidden gullies, the sustained battering of a loose-surface special. The extended spring length maintains progressive wheel travel throughout, keeping the 992’s rearward weight bias from overloading the rear dampers through repeated compressions. Spring rates were calibrated by XYZ Racing’s rally team under competition conditions, which means the setup reflects what a fast car on a real stage actually needs – not a road-car valving curve carried across to a rougher surface.

About the Gravel Rally coilover

Sitting at the most demanding end of the XYZ Racing range, the Gravel Rally was developed for the surface conditions that destroy lesser suspension: sandstone, snow, and silt – the three most punishing loose-surface variants in international rally and rally cross competition. The inverted tube design mounts the outer tube over the inner, improving lateral rigidity under the extreme G-loads of a gravel-stage corner while reducing contamination ingress compared to a conventional layout. Long stroke and long spring specifications were refined through active rally racing programmes, providing the wheel travel needed to absorb high-speed bouncy roads and the load capacity to bear the extreme cornering forces a powerful AWD 992 generates at pace. Every spring rate setting across this range was tested by XYZ Racing’s rally team across varying surface types before release.

Fitment for the Porsche 992 CARRERA-4/S (2019-2026)

Engineered for the Porsche 992 Carrera-4/S (chassis code PO26) from the 2019-2026 production run. This listing is specific to cars fitted with the factory hydraulic front-axle lift system; it does not include the hydraulic lift control system. A separate fitment covers 992 Carrera-4/S variants built without the hydraulic lift – confirm your build specification matches before selecting this listing.

Spring rate options for the 992 Carrera-4/S Gravel Rally build are listed in the product selector below – configure yours to suit your event format and surface conditions.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. In all racing events, road condition of Rally Cross is the most aggressive one. Hence, it means that the shock absorber is the most important utensil during the Rally gravel competition. We develop inverted tube design to meet each different road condition as sandstone, snow or silt. Long stroke and long spring which enable to absorb chassis vibration, aggressively attack from high speed bouncy road and bear extremely G-force when turning. All spring rate setting are tested by Rally Racing team.
