XYZ Racing Drift Spec Coilovers — Porsche 991 CARRERA-2/S/TURBO (without hydraulic lift system) (Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2011-2019

The 991’s flat-six hangs behind the rear axle – a layout that makes the Carrera-2 inherently tail-happy at the limit, and turns a sustained drift into a constant negotiation between throttle angle and body rotation. For competition drift drivers, that pendulum dynamic is the whole point. The question is whether the suspension can hold the car in shape through the arc.

Replacing the PASM electronic damping entirely via the included cancellation kit removes variable-rate intervention from the equation and returns consistent, mechanically adjustable control. That shift matters in competition: predictable damper behaviour under sustained lateral load is harder to deliver than it sounds when the 991’s chassis weight is already biased heavily rearward.

What this coilover does for your 2011-2019 Porsche 991 Carrera-2/S/Turbo

Lowering the ride height via the threaded collar reduces the 991’s centre of gravity – relevant when a rear-heavy platform is already prone to dramatic weight transfer during the rotation phase of a drift. The bump stroke is adjusted to suit the lowered position, keeping the damper in its working range rather than bottoming out under hard compression on corner entry. With PASM cancelled, damping stays consistent through the entire slide: no electronic override changing character when the rear steps out past the threshold. For Carrera-2 and Carrera-S variants running in rear-wheel drive drift classes, the more neutral chassis balance this kit delivers makes the angle easier to hold under hard throttle on sustained runs.

About the Drift Spec coilover

The XYZ Racing Drift Spec is built from the ground up for drift race use – this is not a sports coilover adapted for sideways work. Its geometry is tuned around the specific demands of high-speed cornering at large slip angles: body stabilisation through the transition and a consistent platform for the driver to hold and modulate angle. Ride height is user-adjustable, with the correct bump stroke calibrated for the lowered position that competitive drift applications require. The design prioritises vehicle control through the arc over road-car compliance – it is a single-discipline tool, and the results at drift angles reflect that focus.

Fitment for the Porsche 991 Carrera-2/S/Turbo (2011-2019)

This Drift Spec coilover fits the Porsche 991 – chassis code PO31-C – across both the 991.1 (2011-2015) and 991.2 (2016-2019) generations, covering Carrera-2, Carrera-S, and Turbo body variants. Vehicles must be without the optional Hydraulic Lift System. The kit includes the cancellation hardware required to delete the PASM electronic damping system as part of standard installation.

This suspension is designed for Drift race especially. With its special design, it helps the racers stabilize the vehicle body while in high speed turning in order to make a perfect angle. It can also enhance drifting performance. After lowing the ride height with proper bump stroke, you will realize how we made the drift controlling to the excellent condition.

Top mounts included with your kit

Every XYZ Racing coilover kit ships with the upper mounts listed below for your exact chassis — no extra parts to source.

  • Pillow ball top mountPillow ballPSolid pillow-ball (spherical bearing) upper — chosen for rigidity and precise camber adjustment, the sharpest steering response of the options.
  • Aluminium top mountAluminiumAAluminium upper mount — a stiff, lightweight housing that locates the damper precisely and resists flex under load.
