XYZ Racing Gravel Rally Coilovers — Honda INTEGRA DA6 SINGLE CAM (Rear EYE) 1989-1993

Loose, fast surfaces punish a chassis the DA6 Integra was never asked to handle from the showroom floor. Its short wheelbase and light front-drive layout are an honest starting point for stage work, but the standard damping runs out of travel the moment a gravel crest unloads the wheels and the inside front goes light on corner exit.

The XYZ Racing Gravel Rally coilover is the spec built for that environment. Long stroke, long springs, inverted-tube construction – the brief here is gravel-stage rally and rallycross, not paddock posing or smooth circuit tarmac.

What this coilover does for your 1989-1993 Honda Integra DA6 Single CAM (rr EYE)

The extended stroke gives the DA6 the wheel travel it needs to keep the front tyres loaded over stage compressions and yumps, where a shorter shock would simply top out and unsettle the nose mid-corner. Long springs hold ride height through deep ruts without coil-bind, so the car stays composed when the road surface goes from packed gravel to washboard inside the same corner.

The inverted-tube layout puts the bigger, stiffer body up top where the wheel loads punch in, which sharpens steering response on turn-in and resists the side-load flex that softens a conventional twin-tube on rough ground. For a 1989-1993 Integra being prepared for gravel, that translates into a front end that bites when you trail the brake into a tightening hairpin and a rear that follows the line rather than skating.

About the Gravel Rally coilover

The Gravel Rally damper is specifically designed for rally and rallycross use, where surface conditions – sandstone, snow, silt – are the most aggressive in motorsport. XYZ Racing developed the inverted-tube architecture to absorb the chassis vibration that comes from high-speed bouncy roads, and to carry the extreme G-loads generated when a stage car turns in on a loose surface.

Long stroke and long springs are the two defining design choices. Both exist to keep the tyre in contact with the ground when the road is trying to throw it into the air. The shock body is built to take the repeated, aggressive hits that define a gravel stage rather than the controlled, predictable inputs of a circuit lap.

Spring rates across the range have been tested by XYZ Racing’s rally teams in live competition, not just signed off on a dyno bench. The result is a damper tuned by people who already know what a Honda chassis does at the limit on a loose surface.

Fitment for the Honda Integra DA6 Single CAM (rr EYE) (1989-1993)

This coilover is specified for the Honda Integra DA6 chassis with the single-cam engine and the rear-eye mounting style, covering the 1989-1993 production window. Check the rear lower mount style on your car before ordering – the rear-eye fitment is the variant this part is built for.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. In all racing events, road condition of Rally Cross is the most aggressive one. Hence, it means that the shock absorber is the most important utensil during the Rally gravel competition. We develop inverted tube design to meet each different road condition as sandstone, snow or silt. Long stroke and long spring which enable to absorb chassis vibration, aggressively attack from high speed bouncy road and bear extremely G-force when turning. All spring rate setting are tested by Rally Racing team.
