XYZ Racing Gravel Rally Coilovers — Ferrari 812 (with hydraulic lift system) Cancellation Kit for Electronic Damping) 2017-2026

Putting a front-engined V12 Ferrari on a gravel stage is a deliberate act, and the 812 is the most extreme version of that idea Maranello has built since the F12tdf. The 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 sits ahead of a chassis tuned around carbon-ceramic brakes, magnetorheological dampers and a hydraulic nose-lift system – none of which were drawn up with a Welsh forest stage or a Pikes Peak gravel section in mind. The XYZ Racing Gravel Rally coilover for the Ferrari 812 (chassis FE08-C, 2017-2026) replaces the entire factory damping package and the lift assembly with a long-stroke inverted-strut rally setup.

This is a fitment-specific kit. It cancels the electronic damping control so the ECU stops fighting the new hardware, removes the hydraulic lift gear, and gives you a mechanical, fully adjustable platform built for surfaces the standard car cannot live on.

What this coilover does for your 2017-2026 Ferrari 812

Gravel takes the 812’s biggest weakness – low ground clearance over a long front overhang – and turns it into a stage-ending liability. The inverted-tube construction puts the larger piston at the top of the strut where the bending loads are, so the shaft survives the kerb strikes and compressions that destroy a road-spec damper. Long stroke gives you the wheel travel to keep the front tyres loaded through compressions and crests instead of pitching the nose into the next braking zone unloaded. Long springs hold rate progression across that travel rather than going coil-bound and spiking the chassis. With the electronic damping cancellation in place, the dampers respond to road input directly – what the driver feels at the wheel is what the suspension is actually doing, not what the SCM-E controller thinks it should be doing.

About the Gravel Rally coilover

The Gravel Rally is XYZ Racing’s most aggressive damper, drawn up specifically for rally and rallycross use – the discipline they consider the harshest test of a shock absorber. The inverted-strut design is the headline: it raises the bending stiffness of the strut and lets the kit cope with sandstone, snow and silt without the seal failures that finish a conventional damper on a rough stage. Stroke and spring length are both extended well beyond circuit-spec values, which is what lets the suspension absorb high-speed bouncy surfaces and the G-loads of a fast, off-camber turn-in. Spring rate selection is not theoretical here – the rates are validated by rally teams using the kit in competition, then signed off as the production setting. As a Cancellation Kit variant, this version is supplied with the looms and hardware to bypass the 812’s electronic damping system cleanly.

Fitment for the Ferrari 812 (2017-2026)

This kit fits chassis code FE08-C, covering 812 Superfast and 812 GTS variants produced from 2017 to 2026, specifically the cars factory-equipped with the hydraulic lift system. The kit deletes that lift hardware and the electronic damping control during installation. Confirm your VIN against the 812 generation before ordering – the F12 and earlier V12 platforms use different mounts.

This damper is mainly design for Rally Racing or Rally Cross. In all racing events, road condition of Rally Cross is the most aggressive one. Hence, it means that the shock absorber is the most important utensil during the Rally gravel competition. We develop inverted tube design to meet each different road condition as sandstone, snow or silt. Long stroke and long spring which enable to absorb chassis vibration, aggressively attack from high speed bouncy road and bear extremely G-force when turning. All spring rate setting are tested by Rally Racing team.
