XYZ Racing Top Sport Coilovers — Ferrari 812 (with hydraulic lift system) 2017-2026

The 812 Superfast is the last of the front-mid V12 naturally-aspirated Ferraris, and that 6.5-litre F140 sat ahead of the bulkhead changes everything about how this car wants to be set up. Owners who track these cars know the brief: stiffen the platform enough to stop the nose diving under heavy braking from 180mph, but never so much that the rear axle – already nervous with 789bhp through a short wheelbase – starts skipping over kerbs. The XYZ Racing Top Sport coilover is built for exactly that compromise.

Critically, this kit is engineered to retain the factory hydraulic nose-lift system, so the FE08 chassis doesn’t lose its 40mm of front-axle clearance on supermarket ramps or scalloped multi-storey entrances. That’s not a small detail on a car with a £30k front splitter clearance.

What this coilover does for your 2017-2026 Ferrari 812

The Top Sport runs roughly 30-50% more damping force and around 2kg/mm stiffer spring rates than a street-biased setup, which gives the 812 the platform discipline it needs when you’re loading the front axle into a fast right-hander at Donington’s Old Hairpin. You feel it first under braking: the nose stops collapsing into the bumpstops, weight transfers progressively, and the rear stays loaded long enough for the rear-steer to actually do its job. Mid-corner, the car holds a cleaner line because the springs aren’t letting the body roll past the point where the geometry goes lazy. Traction out of slow corners improves because the dampers are absorbing kerb strikes instead of bouncing the inside-rear off the tarmac. The hydraulic lift integration means none of this comes at the cost of usability between sessions.

About the Top Sport coilover

Top Sport sits between XYZ Racing’s street kits and its full circuit programme. The damping curves and spring rates are derived directly from XYZ Racing’s own track-day development work – roughly 30-50% firmer in damping and 2kg/mm up on spring rate compared with their street setting. The brief is to soak up uneven UK B-road tarmac and curb-strike impacts on circuit without losing the body control that lets a heavy GT car feel light. Shock absorption is biased towards keeping the contact patch planted rather than transmitting every ripple into the chassis, which on an 812 translates directly into how much grip the front Cup 2s actually deliver. It’s a setting XYZ Racing positions as suitable for track days and aggressive road driving – which is the honest brief most 812 owners are running to.

Fitment for the Ferrari 812 (2017-2026)

Engineered for the FE08 chassis 812 Superfast and 812 GTS, 2017 to 2026 production. Critically, this variant is specified for cars equipped with the factory hydraulic lift system – the dampers integrate with the OEM lift hardware rather than deleting it.

By increasing 30~50% damping or 2kg/mm spring rate than street setting; it can absorb the impact of uneven pavement. It is able to absorb the jolt when across a big bumps, effectively suppress shock body and to increase tire’s traction. Vehicle stability makes you can experience perfect handling.
