XYZ Racing Racing Spec Coilovers — Ferrari F8 (without hydraulic lift system) 2020-2026

The F8 Tributo arrived as Maranello’s final mid-engined V8 in the classical sense – 710bhp from the F154 twin-turbo, a kerb weight that punishes the front axle on turn-in, and a chassis tuned at the factory for a delicate balance between road compliance and circuit composure. The Racing Spec coilover is the answer when that factory compromise is no longer the priority and the priority is laptime.

This is the kit for owners running their F8 on circuit in anger – Goodwood, Donington, Spa track days, club time-attack rounds – where the standard magnetorheological setup runs out of body-control headroom under repeat heat cycles. The non-lift FE11 chassis is the right candidate for this conversion because there is no front-axle nose-lift system to package around, which keeps the geometry honest.

What this coilover does for your 2020-2026 Ferrari F8

On a 1,435kg mid-engined V8 with rearward weight bias, the Racing Spec damping holds the platform flat through the long high-speed compressions the F8 invites – Paddock Hill, the Craner Curves, anywhere camber load builds and then unloads in the same corner. Front-end turn-in sharpens because the damper is no longer fighting the heat-soak softening you get from the OEM units after three or four hot laps. Mid-corner attitude becomes a tool you can use, not a thing you survive. The settings are derived from data in genuine race environments, so the baseline tune is already closer to where a fast-road owner wants to end up than any street-tuned coilover would be. Tyre temperatures stabilise, and the platform stays in its operating window for the duration of a session rather than degrading over consecutive laps.

About the Racing Spec coilover

The Racing Spec is XYZ Racing’s pure-circuit damper, built around settings obtained through direct participation in series including the WTCC. Where the road-biased coilovers in the catalogue target compliance, this one targets a measured response under load – the kind of damping behaviour that a race engineer would dial in before a qualifying run. Construction follows the same monotube high-pressure-gas philosophy as the rest of the XYZ range, but the valving, the spring-rate envelope, and the bump-rebound curve are oriented toward sustained high-load circuit work rather than mixed-use compromise. For F8 owners running cars with significant additional upgrades – aero packages, slick-tyre setups, race-class build sheets – XYZ will work from a detailed parts list and a target circuit to spec a custom shock absorber tuned to that specific build. Out of the box, the Racing Spec lands closer to where serious track owners actually run their cars.

Fitment for the Ferrari F8 (2020-2026)

This kit is specified for the FE11 chassis F8 without the factory hydraulic front-axle lift system. If your car has the nose-lift option fitted, this is not the correct part – there is a separate variant of this coilover engineered around that hardware. Year coverage is 2020 through 2026 across the production run.
